Vince Young
On the topic of VY, did ya see this article tennessean? Hard to believe.
A topic for offseason: is it really true that Texans pro scouts understands this scouting thing better than us?
In Mack Brown We Trust!
Hey now
what are you saying about these Texans scouts

pretty shameful from vince if thats true
it doesn’t even seem like the guy. is that how he’s gonna “represent the university of texas until he dies” or whatever he said at the jersey retiring. i feel like i’m in bizarro world.
Wow
Consensus radio talking heads opinions this morning are that Vince is never gonna cut it as an NFL starting QB. Not a good start to the season.
The problem may very well be that he’s still more concerned about representing UT than representing the Titans.
Even if he doesnt make it in the NFL
His sausage was still delicious gameday food.

Injury could be good for his rep
If Kerry Collins comes in and offense is still incapable, it will show it was not all Vince.
But, if Collins does well…
Collins isn't that inept.
Collins actually played pretty well last year when VY went down. I love VY, but he isn’t cutting it as an NFL QB right now. Last year the Titans got to the playoffs inspite of VY.
Recent polls have shown...
that a fifth of the Titans receivers can’t hold onto a ball when thrown to them. Why do you think this is?
I personally believe, that US American Kerry Collins will be unable to do so because some receivers out there in the league don’t have hands, and I believe that our training like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our training over here with the Titans should help the Titans should help South Africa, and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
Collins is a career 55% passer, with as many picks as he has TDs. If he excels with the offensive talent that the Titans have, it could be bad news for Vince.

Yes and no
He got some important wins, but the Titans still struggled to score touchdowns (still no “explosive plays”). Heck, Bironas kicked 8 field goals in one game. That is a lot of chances for TDs that were not realized.
so vince is mortal after all
i pray for a speedy recovery to him
World is upside down.
I was with friends watching the Titan’s game at Plucker’s. Nothing seemed right at one moment as Vince went down (after 2 picks and looking mighty down emotionally before the injury) and Reggie Bush became a hero on another TV as I saw him making a big run for the Saints to take a lead in their game. Around that same time Mario Williams was running a fumble back for the Texans. Ugh, shoot me.

When Elvis became a legend
all he had to do was show up to affirm it. It didn’t matter if he was fat or could barely sing in the manner he once had, ir if his appearance was vastly more show than substance. He was Elvis. There was no other.
Vince has already gained legendary status in Texas. Unfortunately, he is still in the game, one where he has to prove it each week. I can’t image how jarring all these events are to his ego. He never seemed pretentious but he was a confident leader and that required a powerful assertion of himself.
So, it seems to me Vince must forget the past. All of it. If he should quit, he would tarnish everything he has accomplished. Can’t do that; not even a consideration.
The future is right now and requires every single bit of attention VY can muster. He must bite through the gristle, the problems. Perhaps he’ll use the off time out of the spotlight to see things for what they are, which is absolutely the most difficult thing for a young man to do. And the most essential.
I agree that VY’s game and what the Titans are doing are two different things. It is only through his performance, through mastering the Titans game, that he can unleash his own. That is how this die is cast this year. The injury is a subtle reminder that his time in the sun is limited, and the passing and team skills he needs to master will endure longer than the wonderful physicality of his body.
One look at Earl should have told him that, but then young men don’t always see things for what they are. Earl is a profound warning of the price of fame and fortune.
