Who will start more games for the Titans this Year, VY or Simms?
Another Longhorn on the Titans roster.
The Titans signed Chris Simms today, leaving them with an old Kerry Collins, an injured Vince Young, and new acquisition Chris Simms as their QBs.
I'm assuming Collins will start temporarily while VY is hurt and while Simms learns the playbook, however, Titans fans hope that won't last long.
Could it be possible that Chris Simms makes more stars than an injured (and possibly dejected) VY this year?
Crazier things have happened...

A lefty is not going to find the receivers any better.
It also shifts tackle responsibility, among other things.
Plus, Simms has to learn the Titans system, receivers, etc. So, it will be Collins short term, some Simms if VY is gone a little longer, but I think VY should be able to get the spot back, the spot is designed for him [this is a relative statement – I don’t think it is tailored all that much; all through his career has had great speed and receivers surrounding him, which is not the Titans strategy]. Vince is the primary investment. Simms is insurance right now.
IMHO part of this acquisition is to give VY an ally, albeit one who is also a competitor. Simms has tasted the bitterness of the press, certainly has empathy with VY’s situation. For Simms, just getting signed is a victory at this point. Just like it will be for Benson in a few weeks.

Simms can help Vince.
Chris can help Vince deal with home crowd booing even when the team is winning.

Hypothetically speaking...
If Simms wins the starting job, consequently making Vince ride the pine, does he become even more hated by the Longhorn fanbase having effectively taken two of our most beloved QBs starting jobs?
Are we sure that Simms isnt a Gooback in disguise?

Mack better watch out
they’ll be getting rid of Kerry Collins and trying to sign Applewhite soon to complete their collection of former UT QBs. Maybe James Brown could run their scout team.
