DT Tyrell Higgins no longer on Scholarship?
It may be a data entry error but theres a asterisk on the roster next to his name, indicating he's now a walk-on. He was a 2 star (rivals) recruit so is it possible his scholly got yanked?

Interesting
I recall that he left school last year, ostensibly for personal reasons, though it was never quite clear. Perhaps he left his scholarship when he left school, but was able to return and work out as a walk on?

When Roy Miller was interviewed before the Fiesta Bowl.....
and asked about upcoming d-tackles, he mentioned that Tyrell Higgins had really impressed him and would be good. The reporter (Suzanne Halliburton I think?) asked if he was a walk on, and Roy Miller just said, “I don’t know.” Haha, it was pretty funny…..however I assume he is with the team, whether or not he’s on scholly….

We had a number of walk-ons on my teams, and I didn’t always know who was who. There were some guys I knew were schollarship athletes, like the all-americans and such, and there were a few guys you could tell were just out there to give it their best and make the team, but it wasn’t open who was scholly and who wasn’t.

Higgins was out of school
last spring. Mack said in February is was due to “personal reasons,” but as a first semester freshman I couldn’t help but think it might have been academic issues.
He was back in school this fall (and maybe in summer school) and, having left, is now a walk-on. If he impressed in drills, he’ll get the scholarship back. If he has some academic challenges to meet . . . who knows?

Best luck
good luck to him then, having more depth at DT is vital right about now.
