postgame thoughts
just got home from the Drum…
James had a huge night. Johnson was solid, too. Pittman showed some good stuff early, but then kind of trailed off…
Atchley may not have had a lot of points, but I saw a lot of hustle from him – boxing out his guy on free throw attempts, getting the rebound, fighting for loose balls.
AJ hit a few nice jumpers, but missed some, too. I think I remember maybe 1 3-point attempt from him?
This team really needs somebody to step up and play point guard. There are some really good players, but they’re streaky and there’s no superstar to bail them out.
Connor is pretty much relegated to hustle/defense now
The downfall of this team is we have too many of these types of those players (Connor, Mason, Balbay, Ward), and not enough offensive players that can either create their own shot or make plays for others.

Solid, ugly conference win. We took care of business at home. Style points may matter in the BCS but not in Big XII basketball. Nice win.
