Back from my mini-vacation to Austin...

I love Austin so much that my first born son's name will be in honor of that great city. this trip was the most relaxed i have felt in so long. even though it was about 3 days and two nights, it helped me to relax so much. something i have been direly in need of for over 2 years. it finally came and now has passed; and im already thinking about one in the future. perhaps it might include a game or six, it was a little cold out, but i didnt let it deter me from my main objective. seeing the stadium and the tower.i love Austin more than anything in the world. how can anyone not? its austin, the people are friendly, there is hottness all around and more than enough to go around. i will be uploading pics to my myspace from the trip in a few days.i have to admit i got pretty teared up when and i had a lump in my throught so high i almost coundt speak. i know its a local brew and a seasonal one at that...but i was unssuccessful in finging my OKLAHOMA SUCKS beer.at any rate. the people in austin are so respectfull an all around genuinely nice. its not like other places. its open minded and a total stranger got on his phone and went and called a few places for me to look at like twin liquors, and centrak market. this nice gentleman didnt have to do that, but its what being a exan is all about. i LOVE AUSTIN; I LOVE UT,.

I'm in Detroit, and I know how you feel

I’m also one of thousands getting shafted by the crappy economy and I’m seriously looking at moving back to Austin. I’m kinda getting excited. Great city. Great City.

I’m in the DC ’burbs, so I miss places where football matters and barbecue is done well—Austin most of all. Wifey and I are really hoping to move back to the area (or KS, where I grew up) in a few years.

"finging"

hehheh… I think I might have found a new favorite word. I mean, I know it’s a typo but I think this idiot might be in the process of “finging”.

Anyway, I’m glad you had a relaxing time in Austin, Texfan23. I’ll bet you didn’t get out in traffic, much!!

OU Sux Beer...

is seasonal and in the past was sold at HEB.

You can check with Independence Brewery to see if they have any left.

I just got back from my annual vacation back to the hometown too...

Despite the record-levels of cedar pollen and drought, I had a really great time. I also screwed up by not getting to the A&M b-ball tilt early enough and my GA tickets were gone.

At least I was able to sneak into DKR when it was completely empty. Cool place to meditate on the history of UT.

Well

There were some ramps on the west side… I assume they’re for getting stuff like hot dog carts up and down… I had to go all the way to the top before I could get in, but at the top there were no gates prohibiting me from walking around the upper deck. Since I didn’t want to look like a sketchy a-hole if I got caught, I stuck to the upper decks and didn’t really try to explore much else.

Ummm
how can anyone not? its austin

I think you answered your own question there.

The campus is great, it’s just too bad it’s stuck in the middle of that city.
