Connor Atchley will not play tonight in Fayetteville, as his split tongue, which required more than 20 stitches on Friday night, is not yet healed.

Craig way said a person underneath him

raised up and his head hit Atchley underneath his chin as he was coming down from a jump.

That has to be an incredibly painful injury, probably made it difficult for him to speak with the swelling. And 20 some-odd stitches on his tongue indicates a pretty big gash in his tongue. How do you manage stitches on your tongue, how do you eat or drink without affecting them? Any docs out there?

The wifes a nurse and gave me some idea.

It will heal relatively fast, but it will swell. Trying to eat will suck because it tends to get in the wy of chewing. He might have to go to a milkshake diet.

Confirms my suspicions

It’s settled. Connor Atchley is the devil.

Muschamp seems like the kind of guy who used to beat up guys like Bob Stoops in high school.

Connor has been literally hurt in all of his games this yr. Not a good impression on nba scouts

Connor

Went up and under basket for a layup. Defender was out of position and came down hard on his head causing the tongue bite down. It was pretty gruesome with lots of blood. The kid is tough as nails. I’m 97% sure if the training staff let him play he would be out there.
