Longhorn fan in Spain
Hello Longhorn nation, my name is Carlos and I was born in Spain, I live in Madrid, and I am a Longhorn fan, I know that sounds weird but Longhorns are universal.

The first of everything I must apologize for my poor english. I am an american football fan and of course a Longhorn fan. The american football is not even popular here, but I like the most in this world. I like Texas Longhorn since Rose Bowl on 2004 against Michigan and I haven´t stopped to follow our college every game. We have had a lot of great moments since that moment being National Champions and Fiesta Bowl Champions, I have to say that I enjoyed a lot last monday night (the match started at 2am and finished at 6 in spanish hour).
I haven´t been neither in Austin, nor Dallas, nor Texas, and nor even USA I would like to but maybe I won´t be ever there, but I´m happy supporting Texas Longhorns... what the hell I am happy to be a Longhorn!
Here in Spain, we have a web site dedicated to the american football, we are almost 200 members and we talk in the forums about everything: NFL, NCAA, draft, etc. We have a subforum to talk about every team so many NFL as NCAA, and I write about our team, we are almost 5 or 6 Texas fans but we are growing up, the most popular teams are Miami Hurricanes, Florida Gators, USC Trojans and Alabama Crimson Tide, I am glad to tell you that nobody support OU.
I though a lot of time to write here, but I didn´t do it till now, I hope all of you are happy to have a spanish Longhorns fans.
Hook 'em Horns (in Spain it´s 15.50 and OU still sucks).

I’m glad to see that there are Horns fans worldwide. I feel stupid because I could read the post from Carlos but I can’t read the reply from TXinDC. I guess I need to work on my spanish..

The translation of TXinDC´s message is: It´s a pleasure knowing that the Longhorns fans are all around the world.
I started to follow UT since 2004 Michigan game and I agree with you We have had a great history since that point.

So we know you're a Longhorn
But who is you La Liga team?
Muschamp seems like the kind of guy who used to beat up guys like Bob Stoops in high school.

Welcome
I was born in Madrid too and went to UT…couldn’t leave Texas after that. Do yourself a favor and get over here for next year’s UT-OU weekend so you can experience this first hand!

I feel envy of you
I would love to visit UT’s campus. I study journalism and I am thinking to ask for a scholarship to study in USA (of course not to play football), a summer course at least.

Another foreign Horn fan
I come from the same forum as Liches. I live in the north of Spain, Basque Country anyone?
I am a long-time reader but never had the guts to write anything, till I saw this post. Daily visits to this great site are the only way to get info about our beloved Longhorns. We can’t contribute much because football isn’t a very popular sport in our country.
This year I was able to watch every Texas game and started “kind of” getting into recruiting world too.
