4th and 3
I was wondering if anyone had seen or had a snapshot of the ball breaking the first down marker on that last drive. I have a lot of osu friends who i watched the game with and all of them refuse to believe that that was an actual first down. I was wondering if I could get some some visual evidence to help me out if anyone has and or knows where I can garner some I would be greatly appriecative.

How about telling them...
That’s what the ref saw, and they even reviewed the play, so they should probably suck it up and get over it? Tell your friends there’s nothing left to argue here.

Just speaking in general
Its really hardheaded to still be upset about reviewed plays. No-calls, or bad calls yes, but if they take the extra time to review it and double check themselves, fans really don’t have much of an argument. Its not like the call was made completely in real time with no extra consideration to make sure it was right.
That said, I still don’t think there’s any way that Chris Jessie touched that ball!

Unless you are OU against Oregon
But it’s the Sooners, so it’s funny…

It might be time for new friends
The several replays they showed during the game were 100% conclusive. The first down marker was behind the 40 (was it the 40?) and the nose of the ball clearly got right over the 40. If the first down marker had been at the 43 or 43, it would have been a whole lot harder to verify.

Tell your friends
They need to be more concerned with Terrell Pryor being afraid to get hit and running out of bounds short of the first down marker over and over again and not over a late game spot.

How's this
I pulled this from a video on youtube, so the quality isn’t great, but I think it’s good enough.

that's conclusive to me, regardless of the camera angle
its clear that Kirk’s left foot is just shy of the 40, and the ball is extended away from his body. His upper body is directly over his left foot, which means the ball is clearly crossing.

Might be a better shot...
if we could get the 18 OSU assitant coaches and hangers-on to get out FROM IN FRONT OF THE DAMN YARD STICK!!! Pretty sure that’s sideline interference.
Muschamp seems like the kind of guy who used to beat up guys like Bob Stoops in high school.

It's not even close
In fact, even the corrected spot was slightly shorter than where his forward progress stopped. Your friends either need a refresh on the rules or they need to stop wearing blinders.

the film doesnt lie
they cant accept the fact that their team is the most overrated of the decade. a fluke win vs. miami was all that they accomplished

Speakin of the play
I just think its awesome that Kirk had the frame of mind to extend the football as far as he could before getting dragged backwards. A vet move.
