Devon Kennard SI Article
I apologize if this was already posted. I tried to post it in the Fan Shots section but it failed to post.
Article in CNN's Truth and Rumors Section.
"Southern California coach Pete Carroll's home visit with Phoenix Desert Vista defensive end Devon Kennard on Monday went "awesome" and softened the blow of USC losing defensive coordinator Nick Holt to Washington. Kennard, 6-foot-3, 257 pounds, said that he has a very good relationship with USC defensive line coach David Watson. Kennard said that Carroll told him that Watson will stay and have a prominent role on the staff. That means Watson could possibly move into the role of defensive coordinator. Carroll has yet to name a replacement for Holt. Kennard, rated before his season-ending knee injury in September as No.2 overall recruit in the nation by Rivals.com, said that it is unlikely he will take an official trip with Arizona State, but may visit with ASU academic people this weekend. He had ASU among his top five during the summer, but in recent weeks narrowed it to USC, Texas and California."
This is starting to not look good for the horns receiving a commitment letter from Kennard.

Kennard
The Kennard recruitment, while likely to end unsuccessfully, has been quite refreshing. A recruit owes nothing to the fans to be forthright or open about the process, but Kennard has been very reasonable in all of his interviews and it’s clear that he simply prefers USC.
I have no bad feelings about the Kennard recruitment. Unlike many comments made after recruits make their decisions (see: McFarland, Peterson), I do wish this guy the best of luck and hope to see him perform well in the future.
Yeah USC looks like the destination
And I have no beef with that decision.
Anyone know of our shot at Jarvis Jones?
It also seems like we’re quite the longshot for Kirkpatrick as he’ll likely stay and play at Alabama.

both would be nice pickups, and i’ve heard that muschamp met with both of them today? but that’s coming from some alabama fan asking why muschamp was visiting gadsen, AL and columbus, GA today.
don’t hold your breath on them.

Honestly I don’t see us getting anymore top recruits for the 09 class. Having Muschamp is not going to sway anyones mind at this point. Everyone just needst to get over the fact that our ship is full right now we won’t be getting anymore hot prospects for this class and Hookem Horns and go Gators
you’re the most negative person on BON…

He didnt committ to carroll at his house so,
the longer it goes, the better for us. Secondary coach at Sc is new DC. Holt coached the d line. I think our chances increased about 20%
