A request to all BON members...

OU's loss comforted us a little, I know how you guys are feeling right now. Call it karma or whatever you want.

OU lost the game to Florida, but you have to give it to them, they played well and they did not portray Big 12 defenses in a bad light at all. Holding an offense that averages 40+ points a game since the Ole miss loss is an acheivement albeit a minor one in the grand scheme of things.

That being said, I would appreciate if all BON Longhorn fans do not engage in name-calling/ribbing over at CrimsonandCreamMachine. We are better than that, in fact we have class. Let the OU fans mourn over it all they want, but be a true Longhorn and wear your pride by keeping your mouth shut while at that blog. Show them that Longhorns have class, and may be then Bob Stoops will get the message.

Its just a humble request, because you all know we were better than them this year, and keeping silent is the sportsman way of saying "I told you so."

the regular CCmachine community seems pretty small and not overly prone to trolling. Let them spill tears in their beer, and break out your own victory beverage. It will taste delicious.

never expected their defense+special teams to play so well

i give them credit, i thought it would be an easier game for florida. i’m glad they lost, but watching them play a game that should have included us…even in a loss, brought me no great joy.

On another note: I’m moving on from football now that the season is over and focusing on basketball. I haven’t seen much as in baskeball posts lately so here’s a quick reminder Texas Men’s bball play’s OU in Norman on the 12th on ESPN and they play Iowa State tomorrow but that game is a 3:00 tip.

Agreed about forum and trolling. So here goes:

I’m glad “big bust Bob” delivered. I’m glad the AP and Coaches pollsters screwed us. I relish the underdog roll. While we don’t need any additional motivation, as you have stated since early ’08, we are now set for a big-time stroll to the MNC in Pasadena in 2010.

We could have competed with any of the teams in the top 5 if given a chance.
