Why are we not voting Colt for Heisman??
What's the deal?? How are Jacory Harris of Miami, and Jimmy Clausen, and Eric Norwood of South Carolina ahead of Colt in the Espn Heisman Poll??????????????????????????????? Really people, everyone can go to espn.com and vote for the Heisman Winner. Shouldn't we all go there everyday and vote for sd, especially after how close he was to winning last year. C'MON people go to ESPN everyday and Vote for Colt. IT COUNTS in the outcome.. HOOK EM

The Heisman
goes to the most popular player, not the best player (remember 2005).

The "elite" fratermity
It won’t be a travesty if Colt fails to join the ranks of Troy Smith, Jason White, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch, Ron Dayne, Danny Wuerffel and the handful of other greatest college players of all-time.
We just want him in the conversation since that tends to mean his team is doing well.

why should i vote for Colt?
even though he is our qb, i do not think he is any close to the Heisman form at the moment
don’t you find all ESPN rankings stupid and made only to attract pissed fans?

I love reading people's reactions to "power rankings"
especially since it holds absolutely no weight whatsoever in pro sports.

Just wait
After Colt beats OU he’ll be top two. Also, not sure what poll you’re looking at but ESPN’s Heisman Watch clearly has Colt #2:

Don’t freak out early in the season, as the year goes on their’ll be consensus along who deserves it

If Clausen wills his team to win most of their remaining teams he belongs to be in the discussion.
south carolina player won’t be on the list after they go through their SEC schedule
same goes for a lot of those players…if colt can keep up 70+ completion % and limit the INT’s, he’ll stay near the top while all the other’s play themselves out of heisman talks…Colt is the most consistent player on the list, which greatly benefits him
this is definitely not the time of the season to panic

Quick question
How can you will a team to win?
you can’t will strategy, you can’t will clock management, you can will your receivers to catch balls; all you can will for is a couple extra yards here or there. “willing” an extra yard will only end in first downs and touchdowns, I would say anout a third of the time, so I don’t understand how you can will your team to victory. [end rant]

Clausen for Heisman
That is just terrible. He is only in the discussion because he plays for ND, and because none of the other favorites are playing at the level they were expected to. I am sorry, but he is not the best player in football. Not even top 10.

Maybe...
because Jordan Shipley is consistently the best offensive player on the field for the Longhorns, with Colt as a distant second.

How is Tebow at the top??
Tebow has been average this year at best. He has done nothing, nada, zilch that would scream unbelievable, outstanding, or game/season defining. Granted nobody on the national landscape fits that category.
Tebow is only at the top because of the Gator on his helmet, the previous Heisman, and the concussion (keeping the spotlight on him).
If you took all the stats from every QB across the country – removed the name and removed the team affiliation – I guarantee you…..G U A R A N T E E you, that Tebow would not even be in the discussion.
Or if you give Tebow’s stats to another top #15 club’s QB – say Ricky Stanzi at Iowa or Kellen Moore Boise St – those guys would still not even be in the Heisman picture.
The Heisman is a joke – many of the past winners prove that – and it’s all politics anyway.

I'm not voting
Because I don’t care. It’s a meaningless sideshow.
