One man's coal is another man's diamond...
Why so down in the mouth? Sure we dropped a spot to Alabama, but come on! Alabama will have to play Florida in the SEC championship game if they both go unbeaten in conference play. As it says in the Highlander, "There can only be one". As for Texas, we have OU, OSU, and KU to play, whom are all ranked. Then, if we finish unbeaten, we will more than likely play ranked Nebraska for the Big 12 Championship. Texas will have plenty of chances to prove their mettle and their worth on the national stage. We finish unbeaten & we're going to the BCS title game. As far as Colt's play? He isn't playing as pretty as last year, but he is still keeping us in games and playing hard. However, to take a page from NASCAR race teams, if it appears Colt's Heisman just isn't in the stars, we need to start pushing a reluctant Jordan Shipley out in front. Clearly, not only were they destined to be teammates & roommates, but Jordan is Colt's first option on nearly every passing play. His play at receiver and special teams star definitely should begin to get some national attention especially if Shipley continues to score at either or both positions, which then should get him a Heisman push! And finally, who isn't tickled burnt orange over the Longhorns defense? I think this has to be the best I have felt about our defensive unit as a whole going into October since 2005. I don't care if Colt has lost a notch, this defensive unit will keep us in every game the rest of the season. Whether we score 7 or 70, as long as we score more than the other team, as John Madden would say, then we will win! I am not going to get lost in the stats, but the speed at which our defense plays more than makes up for lack of consistency at a running game. So keep your chin up Longhorns fans! I see nothing but sunny days ahead! Hook 'em!

You are right. The season is about survival and so far so good!
