Texas makes big impression on Jordan Hicks
From Inside Texas, its free information and not gathered from the pay portion of the site. It seems that he loves his time down here. Great News. I'm sure GoBR was going to have a more in depth discussion about this rather soon.
Bumped. Go have yourself a free read about Hicks' visit. --GoBR--

Just about to post this
It does sound great – I especially liked this about Will Muschamp:
“We already had a really good relationship and this time we were able to talk a lot of football and where he sees me and how they will use me," Hicks said. "It’s a good relationship and it keeps growing."
Unlike the late committing targets in recent years, he seems like a really good kid who is straight as an arrow. Maybe that is why we have a good chance with this one.

Let's get him!
"Football's so important in Texas. On the West Coast, it's a social. On the East Coast, it's a culture. Here, it's a religion."

"Always liked Texas"
As a Horn in Ohio I want to see this one end up at Texas!
Come and join the Good Guys, Jordan.

I can't believe it!
I think this is first time I’ve seen you use the subject line. I can usually tell ur comments without looking at the bottom.

Yup.
He was getting so many requests for interviews from so many different media outlets that he decided to have a weekly conference call with his coach to minimize the distractions. I suspect that it was the idea of his head coach and I imagine it’s worked out well.
Some kids, like Darius White, go into a media freeze during the season and there isn’t anything wrong with that because these kids do need to focus on their high school seasons, but I think the conference call solution works well for everyone involved.

"I still feel like the smart thing to do is visit all of the schools and then make a decision."
I love this quote. It sounds like he’s already made up his mind, but wants to finish the process out before officially deciding.

This is the kind of approach that makes a kid the type I’ll continue to follow and wish the best regardless of whether or not he chooses Texas. If he keeps up this attitude, terrific. Kirkpatrick was pretty good in this respect as well, and I continue to hope the best for him. It’s when kids go the way of McFarland or Rouse that it becomes easy to root against him.

Thanks for the update Kriess
Muschamp is doing a great job here. He got involved early, keeps in touch via all the right angles, and is giving the kid vision as a Longhorn. I wonder what the inside is to having Keenan Robinson host him? Positional acquaintance, personality, or something else? I’m not saying it was wrong, just wondering about the strategy.
