bradfords down, murrays banged up, landry jones has shown the consistent ability

to get OU in 3rd and 10+. special teams is doing great on coverage, its only a matter of time before our returns do well. and the offense will come around we have too many weapons to be kept quiet all game. but COME ON THROW THE BALL TO BUCKNER

by ibleedburntorange49-9 on Oct 17, 2009 1:19 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Screw the Heisman.

Colt, seriously, just put together some drives to show what a leader you are, and take your team to victory. You’re going to have some pressure on you when you drop back, and even when you’re taking it out of the gun, but make your reads quickly and accurately, and you’ll put the defense on its heels.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 17, 2009 1:19 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

both defenses are playing awesome football right now. but we have potential playmakers at QB and WR that should be able to do enough to win the game. they don’t.

so…make it happen GD.

by APinAustin on Oct 17, 2009 1:21 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

we need to speed up the offense

we’re winding down the play clock almost every play. if we get some quick snaps we’ll do much better. the OU d will be trying to confuse us and get lost in quick snaps.

by ibleedburntorange49-9 on Oct 17, 2009 1:21 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Gotta give OU credit...

If I was playing us, I would do the same thing. Take away Shipley, blow up the oline to get pressure on Colt and take your chances..

by cj43 on Oct 17, 2009 1:21 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

The key to the second half is going to be whether UT can get quality snaps from the depth. OUsucks is a little shallow on the chart right now, and wearing them would go a long way.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 17, 2009 1:22 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Anyone else think

that Tre Newton would help in protection? I understand that the o-line looks horrible, but Tre Newton is our best blocking back and could help out on passing downs.

i assumed that was the play u were talking about

not the draw, the draw was a designed run so they just needed to chip the corners

Another bad spot, this time on McCoy’s run.

At least they punched it through for the 1st down.

OU is still at -1 yds in 16 attempts.

by Katie McBeast on Oct 17, 2009 2:17 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

He HAS played.

Each of these guys has had the guys ahead of them perform like crap many times this season, and Goodwin, not Gilbert, is the one who has been moved up. Gilbert’s not nearly ready to take the reins. Goodwin is. I think Gilbert will be a great player at some point, but he’s not nearly as college-ready at this point.
