He said Sam knew the risk

about coming back and that he decided to return. He added in how intelligent Bradford is and that he was one of the smartest kids on the team.

Ultimately, it probably was, but I don’t believe for a second that he wasn’t feeling immense pressure to play in this game. For Stoops to say “Sam knew the risks” and not follow it up with “I also pretty much begged him to play, and I shouldn’t have,” is more than a little disingenuous.
