Seriously?!
Pat Forde just lost any respect I had for him.

What did he say that isn't true?
Our offense is terribly inconsistent, and the defense is our calling card.
'Til Gabriel blows his horn...
Forde's wrong
in saying that OU definitely would have won had bradford kept playing. he was 2-6 and our d played terrific, to say the least. the problem with that logic is it basically says we didn’t deserve to win, and it diminishes our performance. the penalties and turnovers made it sloppy but to say we would have lost with bradford in the game is unfounded, given how our d played.

dude, we didn't look great. but Forde acknowledges that survival was the theme of the weekend
But on a day when Florida was pushed into the final seconds by unranked Arkansas and USC nearly blew a 20-point fourth-quarter lead to Notre Dame and Ohio State was beaten by 1-5 Purdue, survive-and-advance worked just fine. The Horns remain front and center in the national championship picture, and are completely unapologetic about the underwhelming nature of this victory.
It wasn’t that bad.
it isn't that we didn't deserve the criticism
its that we got ripped while florida got a pass. SI even asked whether tebow’s game winning drive was his “heisman moment” – that isn’t burnt orange colored glasses, its calling BS what it is.

Let me emphasize what bothered me so much with this article...
It wasn’t that he ragged on us. We didn’t play at a championship level against Oklahoma, I think that anybody can see that.
It was mostly the title and the fact that this article would never be written about Florida, who looked much worse at home against unranked Arkansas.
Not only that, but if this was an SEC game, it would have been hailed as a defensive battle. But since it’s in the Big 12, it’s all about how the offenses struggled (which is true, but as a result of the defenses).
"looked much worse"
That is some damned serious irrationality. A team can not look worse than Texas looked yesterday and still win. Florida marched down the field in the final minute and got a game-winning score. They WON the game. What did we do? We traded turnovers until the clock ran out. We didn’t win anything.

I don't want to be that guy, but...
Florida didn’t really go and win anything. They were gifted several calls late in that game. The defensive pass interference call where the DB did turn and look for the ball, the non offensive pass interference call where the Florida WR dry humped the Arkie DB into submission, and finally the most ridiculous unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the history of all of football. I don’t know if those are called differently if Florida stills goes on to win.
