Best QB in College Football
Meet Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson.
The best quarterback in college football? Really? Just because he is a great guy and he has a great story?
I'll start with the ridiculous numbers being produced by this 6'5" 243 pound offensive juggernaut. The Junior from Humble, Texas is just that, a humble hero for his hometown. Raised by a loving family who took in nearly 2 dozen foster children during his childhood, Jerrod learned early on the importance of compassion, commitment and working together toward a common goal greater than his own success. After losing his father Larry in 2007, he has blossomed into one of the most talented all-around athletes in the NCAA ranks.
We'll talk after the Aggies actually play someone.

i know they have only played scrubs
but you gotta admit, johnson looks much better than 95% of the QBs in D-1A football right now. and he has less talent around him

Less talent? Compared to whom?
Granted Fuller has been hurt but Tannehill and Gray are two of the more talented players in the Big 12. Michael and Nwachukwu have also made early cases for offensive freshmen of the year. The days of A&M having significantly less skill position talent than UT and OU fading fast.
The O-Line isn’t there yet, but that probably won’t be exploited until conference play.
proud to swim home
Let's see what he does against Arkansas,
Even though they have a suspect pass defense. After all, Joe Cox, the Ginger Ninja, lit them up. But at least Arkansas is better than New Mexico, UAB, and Utah State.
The guy who wrote the article
also used to coach jerrod, guess he forgot to mention that in the article. Biased much?
This is a different article
Though it’s basically just a shorter version of Lopez’s piece of crap.
You should check out Brent Zwerneman’s response in the SA Express News. He points out that Lopez was not only Johnson’s AAU coach but also that Lopez was a close friend of Johnson’s dad and was at his bedside when he died. Lopez should have been more forthcoming about those facts if he was going to write an article about someone with whom he has a personal relationship.

Everyone should check out the comments
on the Zwerneman article. The Aggie reactions are hillarious.
Wow...why so much animosity?
I think JJ is a good player, possibly as talented as Colt. Would I choose him over McCoy if I had my pick? Probably not, but there’s no reason to take anything away from him.
the man, the myth, the legend.
We don’t have anything against Jerrod Johnson. He is talented and he will do very good things for the Aggies. This is a response to John Lopez. This guy wrote an article about UT bias in the media, but doesn’t see a disconnect writing about Johnson. I didn’t know he was his coach…
I hate hypocrites.
Really?
Would I choose him over McCoy if I had my pick? Probably not
What does Colt McCoy have to do to please some of you people? Colt McCoy holds 43 school records. Seriously, go educate yourself about #12, come back and let me know if you would still “probably” choose McCoy.

This is funny
“The Junior from Humble, Texas is just that, a humble hero for his hometown”
Thats nice. Especially because “Humble, Tx” is pronounced “Um-bull”. Its always good to be an Um-bull hero for his hometown.
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
What happened to all the UT grads in the media?
According to this same Lopez guy, they were supposed to quash all pro Aggie stories. We are slipping folks.
the best QB is
The one who’s team is undeated at the end of the season b/c he controlled the ball and didnt lose, which hopefully the argument will be for Colt if he quits with the INTs and wins out.
