Bradford Speaking to Media At 5:30 PM Today
[UPDATE -- 4:30 PM]: Bradford canceled the presser as noted in the comments, saying he wants more time to decide
Per the article:
"Stoops said Bradford would "answer a couple of questions and address that for a few minutes after practice tomorrow," and talk about "what the plan will be" regarding his availability for the rest of the season, whether or not he'll have surgery, and, if he does take the rest of the season off, his concerns about returning in time for next April's NFL Draft, where he's projected as the potential No. 1 overall pick."
That sounds like coachspeak for he's going pro, but we'll see

I Wonder If He Will Return for His Senior Season?
1. Will his stock drop force him to come back to prove the health of the shoulder?
2. Or would he want to risk another disastrous year and lost everything?
Really sorry to see this kid go through this. He has always looked to me like a “Tom Bradyesque” talent.

It would be wise to not go pro...
that train has left the station. He should come back for his final season to show that he can be a mobile QB. This season has proven that he needs to learn how to take a hit and to also be able to get out of the pocket. His injury and his performance this year will lower his stock considerably.

OU Cancels
Bradford had decided on Tuesday to have surgery and call it a season.
OU canceled the press conference, and Stoops will explain.
Jesus.

Not going pro would be a terrible decision
I’m surprised it is taking him this long to decide. Staying would mean a second year out of the NFL (eliminating any extra income that increasing his draft stock this year would have gotten him, which wasn’t really anything to begin with) and since this year is the last year without a rookie salary cap, he’ll be making less if he stays even if his draft stock rises to #1. Just get the surgery, prepare for the combine, and let Stoops handle his own mess.
If you're so sure of what it ain't, how about telling us what it am!

There is already somewhat of a NFL rookie salary cap...
will they adjust that cap probably, will it be a drastic change I kind of doubt it. I have not read any news on the final decision on the change to the cap. I think if I was thinking about going pro I would hold-off on my decision until the owners make their decision on the cap. If it is just a tweak and not a drastic change I don’t think it would be a “terrible decision” to stay. Bradford right now is most likely having surgery, which is a negative to NFL scouts. He has proven to not be a mobile QB also a negative. He can’t take a hit properly also a negative. His performance this year along with pretty much all college QBs this year has been abysmal. All the QBs performing terribly does provide some incentive to go to the NFL. Your shoulder is never the same after having surgery. Just ask Chad Pennington. I am not an advocate for college players to stay for their senior season if the money is there and even thought Bradford should have left last year. I just think he’s leaving a lot of money on the table if he leaves for the NFL this year that is if the cap is not modified to the extreme. If the cap is modified to that extent he should leave.
Here is info on the quasi NFL rookie cap in place right now:

As much as I dislike everything OU
Bradford is actually one of the few guys that hasn’t bugged the hell out of me.
In a recent story he asked if he regretted his decision to stay this year. He said no, because when you grow up in OK and you don’t have a pro team OU is your pro team. So in his mind playing for OU was his dream. So sad, I know, but he is an okie.
If he has surgery and is able to show well at the combines he should go pro. What he has accomplished is not diminished if he can rebound from the injury.
Looking ahead to 2010, OU still sucks. Their line stinks and they don’t have much at WR. I’m sure they will be looking at JUCO guys like crazy (free agents), but I can’t see anything that would make Bradford take the risk on a return. He probably couldn’t buy insurance again either.

I wonder how his insurance policy works
and if it was only for this year only?
