Lucas Will Be Eligible Dec. 15
Point guard Jai Lucas, who transferred to Texas from Florida after playing in one exhibition game last fall, will be eligible to play for the Longhorns on December 15 against UT-Pan American, only days before the Longhorns take on North Carolina at Jerry World. Lucas is expected to compete for the starting point guard job with J'Covan Brown, Dogus Balbay, and Varez Ward.

Good thing he transferred to Texas
where he’ll compete with three other solid players for PT at point guard
--always Texas--

Donavon was wanting to move him
off the ball to the shooting guard and Jai was wanting to stay at the point. He figures with his diminutive size that the only way he’s going to make it to the league is at the one.
Exactly! It is just what we need too!

Are there going to be exhibition games (scrimmages) this year?
Didn’t see any on the schedule but that doesn’t always mean there aren’t any.
Please sit Balbay on the bench
too much talent for him to play this year. Blabay is a good back-up.
First let's see how he has improved over the summer, ok?
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If they get mad, you're a mile away AND you have their shoes.
