The rest of the Longhorns' schedule looks stormy...
My prediction of Thunder & Lightening aka Johnson & Whitaker being what the Longhorns needed to get over their offensive slump came true! I hope that Mack Brown and the coaching staff finally settle on their running game rotation & let these guys do some damage to get Colt the passing opportunities he needs. A little DJ every once in awhile is not a big deal, but Fozzy and Cody are going to be what we need down the stretch. For Texas, the run has to set up the pass. We have five games to finish strong before the Big 12 Championship and the BCS Title game. Using those five games to get our running game consistent may indeed be what we need against Florida or Alabama.
On a side note - I will be in Stillwater next Saturday for the game. Any word on tailgating or places to meet up before the game? Let me know!

Fozzy
I thought I saw Fozzy limp off the field. I hope he’s alright for next week.

We will also be in Stillwater
Is there away to arrange a BON meeting place? I will probably head towards the Texas-Exes pre-game section or my son’s fraternity meeting point but would be great to meet up with some of the people on this board.

maybe a better title would be “Texas looking to be stormy the rest of the season” or something like that.

It better not be "stormy" in the other way
If we can get past Okie State, we SHOULD cruise to Pasadena. We will destroy UCF and Baylor. Kansas folds like a cheap tent against a good D. A&M will put up a fight early because we’re their Super Bowl, but their defense is so terrible and ours is so good, I don’t expect much of a contest. And the Big 12 North doesn’t have anyone who should pose a serious threat in the conference title game.
I’m watching our game against OSU from last year right now. Two reasons that game was as close as it was: 1) our kick and punt coverage were terrible, and 2) we could not tackle Hunter or Toston.
I realize Perrish Cox is one of the best return specialists in the country, but we’ve had some problems with kick and punt coverage this season, and we have to get that figured out. We cannot afford to give up half a field to OSU as we did multiple times last year.
And our problems against the run were due largely to poor tackling. We hit Hunter and Toston at or behind the line of scrimmage many times but failed to wrap up and secure the tackle far too often. I know our run defense is excellent this year, but it was very good last year too, until this game.
Just some things that stuck out to me watching a replay from last season.
