The "Fan Poll" is hillarious
Texas, Florida, Bama, and USC round out the bottom of the “top” 25. Ahead in the rankings are such notables as Texas Tech (3 losses – and we beat), Houston, Ohio State, OU, and several other scrub teams. I know it’s not a legitimate poll, but those fan polls are usually fairly reasonable, if not close to accurate.
Give it time
It will even itself out in a couple days. Always looks skewed at first.
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
We don't have to worry....
….. about who is ahead of us. It is the rearview mirror you have to pay attention to for the next few weeks.
Iowa is #1 in the computers and we all know history has taught us the computers will trump both human polls. Iowa’s SoS is far superior to that of the Top-3.
--- All roads to the Big-XII Championship lead through OU/RRS. It's not just another game! We're all about championships here. ---
I dont know it anyone noticed this or not
In the AP poll last week, bama had 39 first place votes, and 1447 points, this week, they went down to 23 first place votes, but actually gained a point, going up to 1448. In the USA Today Coaches poll, they kept the same number of first places votes from week 7 to week 8, at 9, and they were able to gain a point in that poll as well, going from 1398 to 1399.

Everyone must of soaked up Herbstreit's BS about that being an impressive win for BAMA
Great job Kirk, you keep that up and you’ll be calling the Sun Belt games. Anytime you win on a last second block of a FG, it isn’t impressive. Especially when the losing team missed 3 make-able FGs’ during the game. The Bama offense was also nonexistent if you didn’t notice Kirk!
No jk
Herbstreit did a fair job until it came to the rankings stuff. The helmet shift thing at the end was horrendous. His philosphy of putting Florida and Bama ahead of us was that “Longhorn fans don’t have to worry. If they win the Big XII they’re in the MNC.” When pressed by Musburger he restated that his resoning for our 3rd place vote was because we will be there anyway by attrition. This seems to be the ESPN Mantra now regarding the BCS rankings. Nevermind that Bama nor Florida has no offense. Musburger pressed him again and Herbstreit’s claim was “you have to look at the body of work over the whole season.” Which doesn’t seem to make any sense at all as a basis for argument. What body of work is there offensively for Florida or Bama?
