How did you get these ahead of time?

I tried to find out how you got them from the website but it doesn’t show anything. I wanted to know for future reference.

That is a bit of a concern

if Iowa stays unbeaten. Hawkeyes close with Indiana and Northwestern at home, Ohio State in Columbus, and Minnesota at home . . . Hawkeyes beneft from wins over a surprising Iowa State, a now-ranked Arizona, and road wins at Penn State and Michigan State. God, words I hoped I never had to type: Go (damn, this is hard!!!!) Buckeyes!!!!!

Goodbye, Boise State. Broncos drop 3 spots despite beating (an admittedly pitiful) Hawaii. Realtimerpi ranks Hawaii No. 132 (Div. I and I-AA teams included) . . . rest of Boise’s schedule is San Jose (138), Louisiana Tech (125), Idaho (50), Utah St. (133), Nevada (70) and New Mexico St. (134).

I guess

my only question is for the Sagarin rankings…What has Boise State done to be 10 spots better than us in that computer ranking? Beat Oregon and then who else? I guess, technically, their best win is better than our best, but really? 10 spots Jeff Sagarin?

I understand that these change from week to week, but it almost makes me lose faith in the computer system…Almost.

Computers LOVE Iowa

wow! They are ranked #1 in all computers except for RB (#4).

If these computer rankings stay intact for them, what happens when the top SEC teams fall, which improves their human rankings!?

We definitely need Ohio St. to beat them just in case. Just the idea of an undefeated Iowa passing up an undefeated Texas to go to the MNC is unreal.

It'd be the price Mack, Deloss, et al

pay for scheduling who they scheduled.

Yeah, I know — Utah, Arkansas, Wisconsin. Play me another tune.

WE’RE F-ing TEXAS. If we (the athletic bosses) wanted to play a Pac-10 or an ACC with a hint of a reputation and a thread of a pulse, we could have played them.

texas has the luxury of playing a conference championship game.

iowa isn’t going to jump us.

UT gains on both Ess Eee See teams

Last week: 0.1 behind Florida, and 0.07 behind Alabama.

This week: 0.08 behind Florida, and 0.06 behind Alabama. Hilariously, USC is just 0.1 behind Texas, with Iowa between them at 0.07 behind Texas.

The dumbest thing: UT’s overall BCS score did not change even 1/1000th of a point.

USC moving up and CIncy falling back a couple spots is a big joke. And TCU moving up after beating an extremely overrated BYU.

Iowa's computer ranking will not hold, even if they do go undefeated

Arizona has to play 3 ranked teams over the last 5 weeks (Cal, Oregon, and USC).

Penn State and Iowa both have to play Ohio State, and Iowa needs the Buckeyes to lose both of those games.

Iowa State has to play at A&M this weekend, and then they get Okie State. I think they lose both of those.

As far as closing in on us, they benefitted majorly from Iowa State beating Nebraska and Tech losing to A&M

The Hawkeyes are living in a house of cards right now.

not to mention they only have 4 games left

whereas texas has 5 + big 12 championship

Damn Sparty for blowing that game!

Should we win in Stillwater, I have a feeling it will come down to the wire with Iowa. I say this because their win last night was the lead on most of the highlight shows, and they’ve gained a bit of attention. A win in Columbus could boost them quite a bit in the human polls.

That alone wouldn’t worry me too much, if not for the other thing that happened last night: Tech losing to A&M. It occured to me that, although unlikely, it is conceivable that, come December, Texas may be the only ranked team in the Big XII. If we beat OSU, they may also lose to OU, and possibly Tech. OU may still lose at Tech or to OSU. Tech is unlikely to be ranked again. And who’s coming out of the North? KU won’t be ranked again. Neither will Nebraska. KSU might be.

There are only two other teams in our conference that are ranked right now, and both are likely to lose again. Our opponent in the Big XII Championship game will probably be unranked and have 4 losses. Yikes!

I’d say we need to worry about Iowa if they survive the Shoe. We might even need to worry about Cincinatti. Damn this crappy conference. How in the hell did Tech lose to A&M? How in the hell did Nebraska lose to Iowa State?
