Colt throws fewest passes beyond 5 yards in FBS?
"Colt McCoy attempts fewer throws beyond five yards than any other quarterback in the FBS and WR Jordan Shipley is his security blanket."
I know our passing game isn't all that vertical, but where did they dig this gem up? Surely this can't be true.

One word - Navy
Colt surely throws more passes over 5 yards than whoever Navy’s quarterback is.

This
I know he doesn’t throw that many relative to the number of passes he throws, but this has to be hyperbole.

Exactly
I’d wager that he is at or near the top in terms of ratio of <5yd. passes to total pass attempts, but not in pure quantity of <5yd. passes. I’d be willing to bet that a number of guys, probably including Ricky Dobbs and Josh Nesbitt.

With the yards per attempt/yards per completion numbers being what they are
That sounds about right

What's wrong with Jordan Shipley as a safety blanket?
He’s damn good.
