and he's only a freshman,

meaning we have at least 2 more years of this crap…

How can he be the most overrated

if he is only a freshman…that does not make any sense. Let’s see where he is after his Junior season…then we will have an idea.

Come on...you are just hating on him.

Storied career at Mater Dei…at the helm at USC as their first true freshman QB. That is a story. Plus the media loves all things USC and SEC. Have I mentioned that the BCS is horrific?

I judge on what he has done in a college game by Barkley

Everything this guy has done on a college field has been completely blown out of portion by the media. That Ohio State game winning drive being all because of Matt Barkley. Yeah right, anybody could of handed the ball off to McKnight and completed screen passes. Then the media saying they lose to Washington because of Barkley not playing. I am not hating on him, I am hating on the media.

Let they guy win a championship or play a few years of college ball first before we start calling him god. Also, its not like he is taking a team with no talent and winning with them. Nothing he has done in my opinion has put him in the upper echelon of college quaterbacks yet.

Iowa has run out of its nine lives..

I think this is the game that finally does them in. Indiana is playing perfectly by getting TDs and not FGs in the red zone. One more TD score in the 2nd half by Indiana and its over. I don’t see a big10 team scoring more than 21 points in a half.

Indiana's Special Teams

recovered the ball and the offense just scored another TD before they head to locker room! Once again, Special Teams at work!!! Last week, there were a lot of games have involved with Special Teams that determined the outcomes of each game. I can’t stress enough how important the Special Teams. And there’s a reason why they called “Special”.

Stanzi

The commentator talking about Stanzi being rattled… That just shows McCoy’s poise. If any QB could be rattled at this point in the season, it would be McCoy. But look at the way he has handled everything- slow starts, being sick (never complained nor did it end up in the media until after the game), not producing the way the offense did last – and he continues to go out there and give it his all.

That separates the mediocre from the best.

Am I the only one who loves

Indiana’s offense? I love the Pistol and the versatility it give you. I am a big fan of downhill running and one reason I don’t like the spread is it is nearly impossible to do so out of it. The Pistol presents the best of both worlds of being able to run downhill out of it and also give the quarterback the gift of being away from the line of scrimmage and seeing the field. I wish GD would take same notes.

I couldn't agree more

I can appreciate the fact that Tebow is very good in that offense but his mechanics are downright terrible. It takes forever for him to get rid of the ball. Vince may have had a funky motion too but he snapped his wrist and got rid of the ball quick. That motion will not fly on the next level, if he does indeed play QB.

San Jose St. hanging in there with Boise St., losing 10-7. Boise was favored to win by 30+ points.

Maybe I spoke too soon

Georgia is mounting a good drive. Hopefully I didn’t jinx them; I’m half-expecting a personal foul penalty to kill this thing.

A&M is playing Iowa State.

Is the North that bad?

by dimecoverage on Oct 31, 2009 3:29 PM CDT up reply actions

No

I’m listening to it on Gametracker.

No one cares about Aggie-Iowa State. Sad, but true.

by dimecoverage on Oct 31, 2009 3:49 PM CDT up reply actions

Yep, figured that out

I’m keeping up with ISU-Aggie on the computer and watching KU-TT on the TV. Mis-typed.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 31, 2009 3:40 PM CDT up reply actions

D'oh

I would have expected screen there. A little too aggressive with that blitz.

by TheElusiveShadow on Oct 31, 2009 3:42 PM CDT reply actions

Aggies Will Be Tough On Turkey Day

Playing tough on Kyle field this year. Close loss to OSU at home – solid win vs. TTech away, and now today against an admittedly pathetic ISU squad.

Short week of preparation for Horns.

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 3:43 PM CDT reply actions

ISU's not all that pathetic

They’re not playing well right now, but they’re decent, especially when they have Arnaud.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 31, 2009 3:45 PM CDT up reply actions

Aggies will play Texas tough. They live for the game.

by dimecoverage on Oct 31, 2009 3:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Florida Not Making Quake in My Boots

or pizz my pants. I would take Horns over Gators in MNC – and would rather Florida more than Bama.

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 3:45 PM CDT reply actions

Man

That was good from 60…helluva kick

by 40AS on Oct 31, 2009 3:48 PM CDT reply actions

Gutsy

Georgia would have had great field position.

Gems From Gameday

Corso and Herbstreit both stated that Texas was the best and most complete team in the country. Desmond Howard picked the Crimson Tide.

For the game – Phil Knight, Corso, Herbstreit pick Texas big. Desmond calls for the OSU upset.

Not sure is good or bad.

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 3:55 PM CDT reply actions

Georgia pushes the offense back the most.

But that is Georgia’s offense doing that not their defense. Penalties Penalties

Tim Tebow.

The greatest RB in the history of the SEC now.

any bets what postion he plays in the NFL

maybe fullback? TE?

Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.

by kriess on Oct 31, 2009 4:10 PM CDT up reply actions

I think he'd make a great TE

Don’t believe in any future at QB

by 40AS on Oct 31, 2009 4:10 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah

too slow of delivery and his motion goes down too low.

Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.

Jayhawks recover a fumble at the Tech 2

Opurum punches it in to tie it at 14-14 right before halftime.

by burntorangehorn on Oct 31, 2009 4:20 PM CDT reply actions

Is Leach Losing It?

I understand being aggressive offensively, but expecting a freshman QB to drive you 90 yards in under 2 minutes? Looks like he didn’t learn his lesson from the UH game.

Then he shows up late for his own meetings and has kids tweeting how unprofessional he is?

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 4:27 PM CDT up reply actions

Anyone watching AM? Game cast shows

aggie fumbles after 97 yard drive and 5 plays later ISU is in the red zone

by Ohio Horn on Oct 31, 2009 4:30 PM CDT reply actions

Would Rank Remaining Games Like This

From toughest to least toughest

1. Okie Lite
2. Aggies (due to home field and short week)
3. Big XII Championship
4. Kansas
5. UCF
6. Baylor (Only because they know they will lose while UCF is deluded)

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 4:38 PM CDT reply actions

Aggie could be tough

it depends on which A/M team shows up. They can be really flat too. Kansas may be tougher.

by Ohio Horn on Oct 31, 2009 4:40 PM CDT up reply actions

I Was Hoping Tech Could Beat OU and OSU

But they look absolutely pathetic. I know they have a freshman QB – but I think their problems are deeper than that.

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 4:39 PM CDT reply actions

Potts in at QB for Texas Tech

Should give them enough of a lift to beat KU.

by realmccoy on Oct 31, 2009 4:47 PM CDT reply actions

Anyone watching the Georgia Fla game w/a dvr

Go back and watch the replay of the end of the play before Georgia scores the td (6:31ish left in the 3rd). Watch Brandon Spikes jump on the pile, then proceed to put his hand in the ball carrier’s facemask and mess with his face. Multiple times. What a cheap piece of shit.

by hornalum08 on Oct 31, 2009 4:59 PM CDT reply actions

Tebow's low delivery leads to a fumble

cmon Georgia a score here would be huge.

Florida’s punter is crazy good.

Reesing trying to look Colt-like, but his guy held, then they called roughing the passer instead? Receiver was wide open in the end zone. TD stands.

Florida's defense is impressive

Although Georgia’s offense is inept

by 40AS on Oct 31, 2009 5:44 PM CDT reply actions

Georgia had success earlier

The turnovers just killed their chances.

It is worth noting that this Georgia defense was shut down by Oklahoma State.

The fellas on Versus aren't quite on UT's bandwagon

Two are picking UT, and one says UT wins tonight, but will have a stupid five-turnover game that prevents them from winning the conference.
