BON Community Game Predictions: Colorado

Now that you have had a chance to read PB's Pre-Game Musings, the superbly done Quarter Pole ReportGoBR's Five Things to Watch, and DC's Q&A session with guys from The Ralphie Report, it's time to make your predictions.

Star-divide

Make the following predictions:

Score, total offensive yards for both teams, offensive MVP, defensive MVP, and your own quick take on the game.

My Predictions:

Score: Texas 55-Colorado 13

Texas Offense: 515

Colorado Offense: 230

Offensive MVP:  Dan Buckner

Defensive MVP: Lamarr Houston

My Take:  Colt finds his rhythm early, but it won't be with Shipley. Colorado makes a concerted effort to stop Shipley and will leave Buckner open in the seams for a huge game.  The Texas running game will be frustrating early on, until 1 of the 3 backs steps up late in the 2nd quarter. The defense will be dominate, force a couple turnovers , and the lone TD given up will come on a fluky play, halfback pass type of play.

My take

Score: Texas 52 – Colorado 10 (yes it will be back)

Texas Offense: 510

Colorado Offense: 201

Offensive MVP: Vondrell McGee

Defensive MVP: Rodrick Muckelroy

My Take: We kick their butts. Our defense will cause a huge turnover in the 1st quarter and we will go up 21-0 by the end of the 1st. We keep the foot on the pedal in the 2nd quarter as Colt and McGee get hot. Halftime score will be 35-3. We then let Colt play the first drive and then rest our team as Colorado continues to struggle against our defense.

I'll give this a try

Score: Texas 63 – Colorado 13

Texas Offense: 555

Colorado Offense: 176

Offensive MVP: Dan Buckner

Defensive MVP: Sergio Kindle

Pray for Lil’ Hawk if Kindle gets to him!

Over at the Half

65-9

Texas Offense: 610

Colorado Offense: 120

Offensive MVP: Colt McCoy

Defensive MVP: Wow! Since I have to pick 1 I will say Earl Thomas due to pics for TD.

Defensive domination in this one. Muschamp is on it. No TD’s allowed again.

Don't like to jinx with predictions, so...

Texas 70-3

Texas Offense: 486

Colorado Offense: 191

Offensive MVP: Brandon Foster, whose blocked punt recovery in the end zone gave him more points on the day than the entire CU roster

Defensive MVP: Joel Klatt’s offensive line

My prediction? Pain!

Texas 52 (Mack calls off the dogs) to 3.
Texas offense 457 (Mack calls off the dogs and a lot of short fields)
Colorado 89

O-MVP Hopefully Fozzy
D-MVP Sam Acho, gets out of his drought and FINALLY recovers a fumble (probably the longest one game drought of his career) I see a sack or two also as Buff offensive line will have instructions from Dan to protect Mrs. Hawk’s boy (and if he does not want to sleep on the couch). There may be plays where all 5 linemen, a tight end, and the fullback block Sergio, while the RB gets a chip on him on the way to his route. Therefore I predict only 1 sack for Sergio.

More of the same...

Texas 48
Colorado 13 (one blown coverage pass for a TD and a couple of FGs)

Our avg margin of victory this season: 34 pts
Our avg margin of victory vs. Colorado in last 4: 35 pts

more of the same as we coast to a win w/ 35 pt margin

Texas offense: 480
CU Offense: 189 (almost all of which come on ONE big passing play for their lone TD)

Offensive MVP: Although “Touchdown Maker” Cody Johnson gets 3 goalline TD’s, the MVP will be Colt as he continues to stay in heisman talks with good #‘s and no INT’s

D-MVP: Sam Acho wreaks havoc in the backfield with some hurries and a fumble forced and recovered

HOOK EM!

45-0

No reason anemic Buffalo offense should score against hungry, snarling Longhorns defense.

Right On!
