Around SBN: Jeff Sullivan's MLB Trade Deadline Primer

Nov 21, 1992... Not a proud moment... an apology from the punk kid behind you.

I was just 13 years old, disappointed by the failure of the Mackovic/Gardere/Pinkney triad's ability to slay the mighty Baylor Bears at Floyd Casey stadium.

She was a crazy Baylor fan, cheering her team on, elated by the imminent win... and she had the misfortune of occupying the seat right in front of me.

We lost.  I put the gum I was chewing all game long right where her hind quarters were planted as she stood and cheered.

She sat one last time.  I got the last laugh.

I'm sorry, crazy Baylor lady.  I regret that I ruined your awesome pants.

Game was rigged, baby

That was Grant Teaff’s last game as HC at Baylor. I’ve never seen a more crooked officiating job in my life. I was at that game, standing beside a good friend who attended Baylor at the time. He was highly embarrassed – said Baylor deserved to lose and be exposed for the horrid, obviously wrong calls. Clearly, someone made sure that the refs wouldn’t let Teaff lose that game – no matter what.

That said, glad you ruined her day.

Watch out, I bite.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
