INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY but the press ,if true, will hurt.
Since he is a minor——the person gets a DUI B
Afraid the chances it’s true are pretty good.

If true...
Most of Mack Brown’s monday press conference will unfortunately center around this issue.
doubt Mack will spend more than a few seconds on this
Team issue. Legal issue. We are aware. We are investigating. Next question . . . and reporters at that deal know there are issues they cannot follow up on.
Sad, though. Hope it works out well for the individual.
It's official, DJ arrested.

UT is aware of the arrest…….looks like a 3 game suspension is looming for DJ.
Give him 3 games
We weren’t using him much anyway. Maybe riding the pine will have him return with some fire that will help kick the crap out of Bama or Florida.. This might be a blessing….Pull your head out, DJ.
Damnit D.J.! WHY!?

Hey Hornsup21!
Do you always check the Hays police blotter? Are you a cop? How on earth did you catch this?
LOL
I get up each morning and read all the area blotters to make sure I am not in jail.
I honestly don’t recall who it was, but someone put it up on OB around 9 this am. Someone else had known of it earlier than that I think.
SUSPENSION -—-3 games would be my guess IF GUILTY.That is what Mack did on the other DUI’s..There is NO BETTER kid than Lamar,so DJ probably won’t get less than 3 either.

Lamarr got 1 game, not 3
Sergio Kindle and Henry Melton got 3 games in 2007, largely because of all the other crap that was going on. Mack felt a need to make a stronger statement then than the standard 1-game suspension most coaches give for a DUI/DWI.
I don’t know whether or not DJ Monroe has been a behavioral problem in the past (and I don’t mean legal troubles; I mean attitude, work ethic, etc.), but I know he’s had academic problems, and he may be wearing out his welcome with Mack to the point that he’s done for the year.
All over the local news here in Houston
Not something good. The beat down on the Bears was 20 seconds, the DUI was 40 seconds. Mack is probably NOT happy.
A tip:
If you want to avoid ending up in jail in the morning, just take your kids with you wherever you’re going to raise hell. Leave ‘em in the car with a PSP or something, and stuff an envelope with bail money into their pockets. You’ll wake up in your own bed every time.

we need to keep a "days without an arrest" counter up like mike florio.
it’s embarrassing.
3/19/2009 - Dogus Balbay Made a Three-Pointer. Never Forget.
we had a pretty good run, didn't we?
what was the last incident? Sergio’s “texting” debacle? I would say that’s a pretty decent run. Maybe I’m forgetting something.

Poor Kid
I know its frustrating for all of us fans, but he’s just a 20 year old kid who made a mistake. Luckily no one was hurt and hopefully this will make him become a better kid a more positive role model for the rest of his career at UT. It sucks for him though, i’m sure he’s as mad at himself as any of us are. Tickets are stressful
I wouldn't exactly say "poor kid"
I see what you’re saying in that we all make mistakes, but let’s not pity him too much. Yes, he will get more attention and grief for his mistake than the average person who gets a DWI, but not everyone gets to represent a major university by playing on the football team. In his case, he has to think about his teammates, coaches, advisors, the fans…pretty much anyone associated with UT, because his mistake affects more than just himself and his family.
As you said though, hopefully he learns from this experience and becomes a better man for it. Lamarr Houston comes to mind.

Weird season for him even more this
seemed like he was going to become a huge part of our special teams and offense early. After his last TD on special teams, he hasn’t really contributed that much.
I’d suspend him till the MNC (3 games).
What’s the normal punishment for DWI as far as games missed?
by goingforthecorner on Nov 15, 2009 7:48 PM CST reply actions
Lucky for him no one was hurt
I hope that he accept his punishment like a man and uses it as an opportunity to improve his performance on and off the field. Best of luck to use it as a life lesson and move forward. He is so talented i hope he works it out.
I'm disappointed, DJ
170 lbs? I thought Mad Dog would have you up to at least 185 by now! You gotta get to work in that weight room!
