All I Want For Christmas
Listen to this podcast from Inside Texas. No purchase necessary.
The recruiting season is still alive and well with this weeks visits of Jeffcoat and Darius White. There are supposed to be some key 2011 prospects at DKR again as well.
It should be a not so "Silent Night" and a KU beatdown will bring "Joy To The (Jerry) World". But "Jingle Bells" are ringing as we ready for the prospect of this years recruiting class.
So Dear Santa,
After we win the Big XII and the MNC
Here's my recruiting Christmas list for 2010 and somethings for you to be thinking about for 2011. I have been a very, very, good boy this year trying to follow our role model QB. Sally will have plenty of homemade cookies and milk for you when you come to my house. I moved to Balcones Drive in, just in case you didn't know.
I know you've seen how naughty those guys have been at ou and USC and you aren't very happy with them, so you can just put their presents under our tree this year so you won't have to carry all that stuff around and wear out your reindeer. Don't even bother going to atm because they don't even know what to do with presents they get anyway.
Love your favorite coach,
Mack
2010
1. Jordan Hicks
2. Jackson Jeffcoat
3. Darius White
4. Return all Defensive Backfield
5. Sign all current commits
2011 Wish List
5. Leroy Scott
10. Trey Metoyer
11.P.L. Lindley
Has anyone seen or heard anything on other 2011 prospects you would like to add to our list? I didn' t pick Aaron Green because I have pretty much written him off as a NU commit.

I wouldn’t ever write off anyone to anywhere, things happen. Darius White, lock to Texas, now up in the air. Bryce Brown, lock to Miami, has a brother/cousin/whatever there, commits there, holds his commitment until his scholarship is pulled after signing day, signs with Tennessee. McFarland, lock to Texas, parties too hard, now at OU. Nothing is ever guaranteed.

Got It
I hope you’re right. I have a close buddy from Nebraska and I’ve pretty much conceded Green over to them based on several factors. I saw an interview where he appeared to be all about NU, his brother goes there, and he’s had a 3 year relationship with some folks on their staff.

You're right he's not but....
Do you think he’s scholarship worthy?

Christian Westerman
OT from AZ. Elite prospect-loves Texas-he and his family already took a visit so on the serious OOS prospects we should land.

Yeah,
I remember seeing a bit on him last summer. Guys a beast along the lines of Mason Walters, but maybe with better feet…no cheap shot intended.

Too much to ask
I don’t really know or fully understand what would happen to me if we signed Jeffcoat, Hicks, Darius White, in addition to all the commits we have. Somewhere along the lines of spontaneous combustion……
But seriously, would that be the best recruiting class ever? Offensive? Defensive? Total?
It is hard to let myself even think of that possibility because it is just too dangerous.

obviously the best way to analyze a class is 4 years after they signed BUT
I’d be tempted to say best defensive and best overall at Texas. I don’t see this being the top offensive haul.

I think we see that next year.
2011 we realistically have the chance of getting two rivals top 5 RB’s and some key postions at receiver/TE. Chris Barnett would be a huge haul and either or both of Herschel Sims or Malcolm Brown at RB. Trey Metoyer has the make up of a Malcolm Willians and would be huge to sign with that class. The big key remaining would be O-line. Texas should produce a couple more top 3 OL prospects for the 2011 class. Wrangler 86 pointed out Christian Westerman. He received 16 D-1 offers in the middle of his junior year and is a beastly offensive tackle.

YES. We are rocking it.
The potential finish to this class makes me feel guilty.
I like that numbers 4 and 5 do not include a certain showboat RB from inside the state, but other sites are still hinting that we are not out of the loop on him. I don’t believe or care—this class is just so amazing. With the talent to develop and deply at WR, we should have the best in the country.

What's the stud DE's name from LA?
Don’t we have a shot at him too?

Yes. He's from Shreveport
Here’s his bio. I don’t know if he’s been here for camp or any visits though. Apparently he did make the RRS this year.
