Vince looks good in Reliant. I'm just sayin'........

Big hits so far. And the Texans are on the board first.

Go Vince!

And Bo, and Hall, and Griffin!

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 7:57 PM CST reply actions

and Studdard and Okam!

thought Studdard is the only one that actually gets reps.

GO TEXANS!!!

Hope VY has a good game and stays healthy though.

by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 8:02 PM CST reply actions

No way...

I’ve been calling Titans will come back when VY become a starting qb again….I predict they will be from 0-6 to 10-6 by the end of season…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:28 PM CST up reply actions

Playoffs this time?

Or just miss, like in 2006, the last time VY had to step in and save the Titans.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 8:39 PM CST up reply actions

If he can lead Titans to the playoff, that would be amazing!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:43 PM CST up reply actions

Yes indeed. It would be amazing.

And it would be even better to listen to all the national radio shows eat it, since they were all predicting he would bomb.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 8:48 PM CST up reply actions

Absolutely

I seriously have no idea how people let the douchebags at ESPN blow the Fisher incident so out of proportion. I had classy Ravens fans telling me and wifey to go kill ourselves when we wore our Vince (one UT, one Titans) to see the Titans beat Baltimore last year. Those piss-poor Baltimorons can eat it.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:08 PM CST up reply actions

I feel for you.

Although every year I have to deal with my extended family in Florida. Those guys are pretty obnoxious (not in front of my girlfriend, though).

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 9:17 PM CST up reply actions

Ha ha. Nice one.

I usually just remind them that the SEC is overrated, and that they will be terrible without Tebow.

Only VY fans in da house. Pls snd hlp!

Thanks PB

Thanks for open up this thread. I’ve been waiting for this thread since last Sun. But, that doesn’t mean not to show support to our men basketball team tonight. We should have no problem to handle Iowa tonight. Go Horns!!!!

Always Hook’em!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:24 PM CST reply actions

Nice throw, VY

c’mon…lets score a TD on this drive.

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:25 PM CST reply actions

yay!

VY looking good and consistent

by drbadass on Nov 23, 2009 8:27 PM CST reply actions

Awesome TD!

Dreading my awkward future outburst at BW3 when Schaub drops back to throw just as A. Bradley slams a dunk.

by horndude on Nov 23, 2009 8:31 PM CST via mobile reply actions

lol….Bradley slams dunk!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:32 PM CST up reply actions

I don't think the Rose Bowl sideline is large enough

for the 2005 team alumni plus the current team. The Texas athletic department will have to hold a lottery for the available sideline “entourage” passes.

C'mon Griffin

we need u to cover Andre bad…don’t quit on us..

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:35 PM CST reply actions

c’mon…man….lets get the 1st down here

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:44 PM CST reply actions

Thats for sure...

Mark McGuire comes to my mind…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:11 PM CST up reply actions

really?..I never knew where McGwire came from

That kinda lets me group him into that group of douches from there

by vy til i die on Nov 23, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions

* McGwire

Thanks for the correction. Crap, I just don’t have time to google his name…haha…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:18 PM CST up reply actions

He's also damn good

and definitely not the only NFL player on roids.

by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:39 PM CST up reply actions

I don't think he's THAT good

But I don’t follow the Texans as closely as you probably do. I just haven’t been terribly impressed in the games I’ve seen of him, college or pro. One way or the other, the photos alone are enough evidence to convict him of douchebaggery, no?

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:41 PM CST up reply actions

I was hoping for a blocked punt

then I realized I was watching the Texans and not the Longhorns.

by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 8:45 PM CST reply actions

what the?

everyone know Andre will get the ball why no double coverage?

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:50 PM CST reply actions

Chris Johnson!

OH my freaking goodness!!!!!!!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:57 PM CST reply actions

Ha ha.

VY hittin the ref’s ass.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 8:59 PM CST reply actions

That one should be a TD, man!!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 8:59 PM CST reply actions

Great Drive By VY!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions

That's good

to tie the game before head to locker room…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions

They say the option doesn't work in the NFL

But when you’ve got the fastest RB in the NFL and arguably the fastest QB in the NFL, maybe it does.

by a0nyme on Nov 23, 2009 9:01 PM CST reply actions

I think the option CAN work in the NFL...

but no one wants to put their 10 million dollar QB where he can absorb hits.

by The Immortal Iron Fist AKA AFB on Nov 23, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions

C'mon D

let’s hold them rght here… no FG allow!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:04 PM CST reply actions

Jamal Charles

have a great season in Chiefs so far.

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:07 PM CST reply actions

Yep

Couldn’t be happier about that. I was pissed when KC drafted Larry Johnson, I cheered for him on only one play his entire career with my Chiefs, and I am thrilled that KC’s doing a lot better without him than with him. 2.7, as he’s now known (he’s #27, and his rushing average was 2.7 when KC released him), is my least favorite Chief ever, and Charles is showing everyone that Johnson was nothing but a pure rusher who can’t get it done behind anything but a great line. It didn’t help that the dude blocked like Mariah Carey.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:15 PM CST up reply actions

VY

I want him to have a good game but I just cannot stand Bud Adams.

by nyclonghorngal on Nov 23, 2009 9:08 PM CST reply actions

yea, that bird thing was really uncalled for. Shame on him…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:09 PM CST up reply actions

Effing Fisher needs to get serious about covering Johnson. Michael Griffin up top, and either Finnegan or Hood up front.

Vince is playing well, though. Kick some ass, Vince!

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:11 PM CST reply actions

Seriously?

We kinda like handed that TD to him by covered him 1 on 1. We let him had it just for the TV exposure and the talking points from the commentators. That’s all.

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:17 PM CST up reply actions

Ah

You were talking about handing it to Johnson. Got it.

Well, he is actually playing decent ball, although it’s hilarious to see ESPN backpedaling on all the crap they’ve talked about Andre Johnson (character issues) and Vince Young (Fisher-calling-cops incident) recently.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:31 PM CST up reply actions

oh, i was talking about Andre’s TD..

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:35 PM CST up reply actions

Kudos to that commentator

Always quote the “former Longhorns” first before he say the players’ name.

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:21 PM CST reply actions

Great throw by VY!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:21 PM CST reply actions

I like it….. VY shows some hot temper!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:22 PM CST reply actions

Wasn’t his knees down before the ball comes out?

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

Not really. But they might rule that he got it back, and was down, before he re-fumbled.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 9:25 PM CST up reply actions

Guess not

Sucks that it happened right after douchebag Cushing goes for the personal foul.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:30 PM CST up reply actions

Nice!

An inexpensive lesson.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 9:32 PM CST up reply actions

Ouch

Nearly a pick for Dunta. Vince, you’d better not toss another duck like that in his direction.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions

Shades of Vince of yore

Nice scramble for the first down, and good job getting the sideline.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions

that is what he does...

cush thought he had him…whoops.

OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!!! Remind me how he usually ran for the Horns!!!!!!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions

And again!

Vince looks like he’s leading a comeback drive against Okie Lite or something.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:39 PM CST reply actions

Keep Running, VY!!!

Why did he leave us so early???

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:39 PM CST reply actions

VY running

should be their #1 play. Texans have actually done a decent job on C. Johnson.

SACK POLLARD!

by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:40 PM CST reply actions

Johnson

Looks like he could be thrown a little off his pace for the record. The graphic said he needs to average a little under 150 yards/game, and he’s at a little under 100 so far.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:42 PM CST up reply actions

Word.

(He’s my kicker in fantasy.)

by a0nyme on Nov 23, 2009 9:43 PM CST up reply actions

Ha, me too.

I need Scaife and Bironas to have some big numbers tonight.

by TXinDC on Nov 23, 2009 9:46 PM CST up reply actions

Crap! I really dont get it….why there’s no double coverage on him

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:48 PM CST reply actions

There was, really

Problem is, it was two safeties (Griffin and Hope). I think Hood or Finnegan would’ve been better than the second safety.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:53 PM CST up reply actions

Man, he should run straight instead of ran out of bound..

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 9:56 PM CST reply actions

We’re tied? Shouldn’t we lead them at 10 or 15 pts…Iowa should not be that good…

CRUNCH!

Too bad it came at Kasey’s expense.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:06 PM CST reply actions

Unbelievable

Nice sack for a big loss, and Tenn ends up deep in their own territory. Vince needs to kill a ton of clock and score some points.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:08 PM CST reply actions

C'mon VY

lead for another TD on this drive…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:10 PM CST reply actions

He really has been working all season to get his motor goin

by TXinDC on Nov 23, 2009 10:11 PM CST reply actions

Chunkler makes the catch

But can’t quite decide where to lumber.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:11 PM CST reply actions

Not sure

He’s not a tall guy, I think 6’1" or 6’2", but he didn’t use to be nearly that stout. Think he’s probably up to 255-260 by now.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:13 PM CST up reply actions

Wow

Can’t believe he didn’t lose yards on that. Dangerous play, but it worked…barely.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:14 PM CST reply actions

DAMN...

THAT SHOULD BE A FLAG!!!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:14 PM CST reply actions

Those referees are freaking blind.

That was a tripping on VY, should be personal foul!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:16 PM CST reply actions

&%$@ that!

C’mon, guys, you have to actually get the snap in time to make it work.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:16 PM CST reply actions

Spare us your make-up calls

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 10:16 PM CST reply actions

They will never able to make up that call…We’re about to score on that drive..

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:17 PM CST reply actions

Fisher, you better double coverage on Andre

Otherwise, i would kill you in my freaking mind..

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:19 PM CST reply actions

Nice Penalty..

I take anything give to us!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:26 PM CST reply actions

Don't boo man

Wat about our tripping call on VY?

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:27 PM CST reply actions

Heh

Doesn’t look like it actually was a horse collar, but the defender was actually trying to reach up to get him on the horse collar. So he tried and failed, and was ironically penalized for failing.

NICE run CJ!

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:27 PM CST reply actions

It looks to me this is the very 1st breakout run play he has

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:28 PM CST up reply actions

He’s definitely gotten some 1st downs, though.

by tblog123 on Nov 23, 2009 10:29 PM CST up reply actions

And he needs 5yds. to be on the pace for the record

He should easily exceed that, if they have a good drive.

Whoops…there he goes, over 150. Needed 149.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:30 PM CST up reply actions

Burning the clock down

Kick the FG to win this game…You can do it VY…

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:30 PM CST reply actions

I'd say complete

Set it up, then snagged it. Very close, and I could totally buy it if the refs did call it incomplete, because they could argue he used the ground to stabilize it.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:32 PM CST up reply actions

It is a catch...

No more SEC ruling crap here!!!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:32 PM CST reply actions

ball on the ground.

Here we go (holds breath)

by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:34 PM CST reply actions

I can't believe it

2nd straight game Texans couldn’t force overtime because of a missed FG.

Aaawwwwwwwwhhhhhh…..nice to see him gave hug to Studdard… Nice job, VY!

by Horns98 on Nov 23, 2009 10:47 PM CST reply actions

Four in a row

Have to wonder about the decision to wear earrings. That seems like a bad idea. Anyway, wonderful job. You minimized your mistakes, and led some good scoring drives, including the game-winning drive. And when interviewed after the win, you gave credit to your teammates, and graciously declined to say anything douchebaggish when offered the chance to do so about people who questioned you. Good show, mate.

by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:48 PM CST reply actions

One of the most satisfying games to watch of the season.

I love watching Vince Young play. There is nothing quite watching him run on 3rd down when other options are exhausted. The positive hype on him tonight was well deserved and what a field goal kick!
