Vince looks good in Reliant. I'm just sayin'........
Big hits so far. And the Texans are on the board first.

Go Vince!
And Bo, and Hall, and Griffin!

and Studdard and Okam!
thought Studdard is the only one that actually gets reps.

GO TEXANS!!!
Hope VY has a good game and stays healthy though.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 8:02 PM CST reply actions
No way...
I’ve been calling Titans will come back when VY become a starting qb again….I predict they will be from 0-6 to 10-6 by the end of season…
Playoffs this time?
Or just miss, like in 2006, the last time VY had to step in and save the Titans.
Yes indeed. It would be amazing.
And it would be even better to listen to all the national radio shows eat it, since they were all predicting he would bomb.
Absolutely
I seriously have no idea how people let the douchebags at ESPN blow the Fisher incident so out of proportion. I had classy Ravens fans telling me and wifey to go kill ourselves when we wore our Vince (one UT, one Titans) to see the Titans beat Baltimore last year. Those piss-poor Baltimorons can eat it.

I feel for you.
Although every year I have to deal with my extended family in Florida. Those guys are pretty obnoxious (not in front of my girlfriend, though).
Ask 'em if UF's ever going to win a ring that says:

Ha ha. Nice one.
I usually just remind them that the SEC is overrated, and that they will be terrible without Tebow.
We're at BW3 on Rice Blvd
Only VY fans in da house. Pls snd hlp!

Texans want to make VY beat them with his arm
Washington just dropped a ball.

Thanks PB
Thanks for open up this thread. I’ve been waiting for this thread since last Sun. But, that doesn’t mean not to show support to our men basketball team tonight. We should have no problem to handle Iowa tonight. Go Horns!!!!
Always Hook’em!
Awesome TD!
Dreading my awkward future outburst at BW3 when Schaub drops back to throw just as A. Bradley slams a dunk.

I don't think the Rose Bowl sideline is large enough
for the 2005 team alumni plus the current team. The Texas athletic department will have to hold a lottery for the available sideline “entourage” passes.

Cushing's infinitely less likable than McGwire
Although both were USC products.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:12 PM CST up reply actions
really?..I never knew where McGwire came from
That kinda lets me group him into that group of douches from there
by vy til i die on Nov 23, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions
He's also damn good
and definitely not the only NFL player on roids.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:39 PM CST up reply actions
I don't think he's THAT good
But I don’t follow the Texans as closely as you probably do. I just haven’t been terribly impressed in the games I’ve seen of him, college or pro. One way or the other, the photos alone are enough evidence to convict him of douchebaggery, no?
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:41 PM CST up reply actions
I was hoping for a blocked punt
then I realized I was watching the Texans and not the Longhorns.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 8:45 PM CST reply actions
TOUCHDOWN
to Andre Johnson. 14-7 the good guys.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 8:50 PM CST reply actions
this is going to be a pain
switching back and forth to the Texas/Iowa game.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:05 PM CST up reply actions
They say the option doesn't work in the NFL
But when you’ve got the fastest RB in the NFL and arguably the fastest QB in the NFL, maybe it does.
I think the option CAN work in the NFL...
but no one wants to put their 10 million dollar QB where he can absorb hits.
by The Immortal Iron Fist AKA AFB on Nov 23, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions
Yep
Couldn’t be happier about that. I was pissed when KC drafted Larry Johnson, I cheered for him on only one play his entire career with my Chiefs, and I am thrilled that KC’s doing a lot better without him than with him. 2.7, as he’s now known (he’s #27, and his rushing average was 2.7 when KC released him), is my least favorite Chief ever, and Charles is showing everyone that Johnson was nothing but a pure rusher who can’t get it done behind anything but a great line. It didn’t help that the dude blocked like Mariah Carey.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:15 PM CST up reply actions
VY
I want him to have a good game but I just cannot stand Bud Adams.
Effing Fisher needs to get serious about covering Johnson. Michael Griffin up top, and either Finnegan or Hood up front.
Vince is playing well, though. Kick some ass, Vince!
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:11 PM CST reply actions
Seriously?
We kinda like handed that TD to him by covered him 1 on 1. We let him had it just for the TV exposure and the talking points from the commentators. That’s all.
Ah
You were talking about handing it to Johnson. Got it.
Well, he is actually playing decent ball, although it’s hilarious to see ESPN backpedaling on all the crap they’ve talked about Andre Johnson (character issues) and Vince Young (Fisher-calling-cops incident) recently.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:31 PM CST up reply actions
Kudos to that commentator
Always quote the “former Longhorns” first before he say the players’ name.
Guess not
Sucks that it happened right after douchebag Cushing goes for the personal foul.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:30 PM CST up reply actions
Ouch
Nearly a pick for Dunta. Vince, you’d better not toss another duck like that in his direction.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions
Shades of Vince of yore
Nice scramble for the first down, and good job getting the sideline.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions
that is what he does...
cush thought he had him…whoops.

And again!
Vince looks like he’s leading a comeback drive against Okie Lite or something.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:39 PM CST reply actions
VY running
should be their #1 play. Texans have actually done a decent job on C. Johnson.
SACK POLLARD!
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:40 PM CST reply actions
Johnson
Looks like he could be thrown a little off his pace for the record. The graphic said he needs to average a little under 150 yards/game, and he’s at a little under 100 so far.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:42 PM CST up reply actions
Ha, me too.
I need Scaife and Bironas to have some big numbers tonight.
There was, really
Problem is, it was two safeties (Griffin and Hope). I think Hood or Finnegan would’ve been better than the second safety.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 9:53 PM CST up reply actions
Sighhh... same sloppy play as last year
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 9:52 PM CST reply actions
Antonio Smith?
Man, what a dick move. Eject the guy when you see something like that.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:01 PM CST up reply actions
Man HOU playing great against Chris Johnson
considering what he did to them in the first game.

We’re tied? Shouldn’t we lead them at 10 or 15 pts…Iowa should not be that good…
Oh well, I’m sure we will take care of them in the end.
horrible
we should be blowing out Iowa

CRUNCH!
Too bad it came at Kasey’s expense.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:06 PM CST reply actions
Unbelievable
Nice sack for a big loss, and Tenn ends up deep in their own territory. Vince needs to kill a ton of clock and score some points.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:08 PM CST reply actions
Sure seems to be moving on it, though
Nice to see. That’s their best friend right now.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:11 PM CST up reply actions
Yes he did. There he goes. VY for first down, baby!
"We don't freestyle Texas Fight, big boy." - Coach Brown
He looks FAST these days
He really has been working all season to get his motor goin
Chunkler makes the catch
But can’t quite decide where to lumber.

Seriously, when did Crumpler gain all that weight?
by HornPossessed on Nov 23, 2009 10:12 PM CST up reply actions
Not sure
He’s not a tall guy, I think 6’1" or 6’2", but he didn’t use to be nearly that stout. Think he’s probably up to 255-260 by now.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:13 PM CST up reply actions
Titans might very well drain all the clock
and try to kill Houston with Bironas.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:12 PM CST reply actions
Chris Johnson is going to need to sleep in an ice bath tonight. Man, that guy has taken some hits.
"We don't freestyle Texas Fight, big boy." - Coach Brown
Wow
Can’t believe he didn’t lose yards on that. Dangerous play, but it worked…barely.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:14 PM CST reply actions
What's the announcer saying is a penalty?
Did he want intentional grounding? The ball landed 5ft. from Scaife’s toes.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:15 PM CST reply actions
um, did u not see the replay? VY was tripped. Blatant no call.
"We don't freestyle Texas Fight, big boy." - Coach Brown
&%$@ that!
C’mon, guys, you have to actually get the snap in time to make it work.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:16 PM CST reply actions
I knew I'd be stressed about this game
but not the freaking Iowa game.

Damn
Time flies when you’re preoccupied with college ball.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:28 PM CST up reply actions
Can u believe that? And the dude gets a check for the bone head play....
"We don't freestyle Texas Fight, big boy." - Coach Brown
Regardless of if that was a good call or not
Texans are shooting themselves in the foot
Heh
Doesn’t look like it actually was a horse collar, but the defender was actually trying to reach up to get him on the horse collar. So he tried and failed, and was ironically penalized for failing.
NICE run CJ!
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:27 PM CST reply actions
And he needs 5yds. to be on the pace for the record
He should easily exceed that, if they have a good drive.
Whoops…there he goes, over 150. Needed 149.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:30 PM CST up reply actions
I'd say complete
Set it up, then snagged it. Very close, and I could totally buy it if the refs did call it incomplete, because they could argue he used the ground to stabilize it.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:32 PM CST up reply actions
Do you have direct TV?
Push down arrow twice. This lets you watch and pause to channels at once, meaning no commercials and watching VY beat Houston and following it up with Sexy Dex second half domination.
57-46 Horns. Damo with a nice jumper..and then a layup...59-46
"We don't freestyle Texas Fight, big boy." - Coach Brown
still over 10 min left in the bball game
I’m focusing on MNF.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:33 PM CST up reply actions
I love it when...
…the back judge comes in and overrules on a play he had absolutely zero chance of seeing.
INCOMPLETE!
ball on the ground.
Here we go (holds breath)
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:34 PM CST reply actions
Still think it was a catch
But it was so close that I can buy the other side.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:34 PM CST reply actions
Oh boy... here we go
Up to Bironas to kill the Texans again.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:37 PM CST reply actions
Bironas time, I guess
Better hit it this time, fella!
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:37 PM CST reply actions
Lotta drops by Tenn WRs today
Not unusual for them, but I’d like to see them start catching passes, especially with the low velocity Vince has been putting on them.
TIE GAME
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:38 PM CST reply actions
Thanks for the pooch kick
decent field position to start
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:40 PM CST reply actions
Lotta drops
Still, I’d like to see a better completion percentage. He was 9/13 at one point.

Making it…hmmm…48yds.

That’s exactly it. I wish nothing bad for the Texans, but it’s nice to see VY beat ’em.
Love you, Vince! Keep it rolling, baby.
by burntorangehorn on Nov 23, 2009 10:45 PM CST up reply actions
I can't believe it
2nd straight game Texans couldn’t force overtime because of a missed FG.
by goingforthecorner on Nov 23, 2009 10:46 PM CST reply actions
Four in a row
Have to wonder about the decision to wear earrings. That seems like a bad idea. Anyway, wonderful job. You minimized your mistakes, and led some good scoring drives, including the game-winning drive. And when interviewed after the win, you gave credit to your teammates, and graciously declined to say anything douchebaggish when offered the chance to do so about people who questioned you. Good show, mate.

One of the most satisfying games to watch of the season.
I love watching Vince Young play. There is nothing quite watching him run on 3rd down when other options are exhausted. The positive hype on him tonight was well deserved and what a field goal kick!
