who
who are you guys talking about. im new and just trying to get some info from gobr
Out of state
Defensive end Jermauria Rasco is probably the guy who is a lock to receive an offer, but the Longhorns might look at Austin Seferian-Jenkins, mentioned in Morning Coffee today. Then Christian Westerman, the offensive lineman from Arizona who visited for a camp this summer. Hard to say how much he likes Texas, though his dad certainly does. That’s about it right now.
I haven’t looked at the numbers for the offensive line yet, but probably 3-4 players, with an emphasis on tackles — guys like Spencer Drango, Taylor Doyle, the kid from Hallsville, and possibly Marcus Hutchins, though there are concerns with him because he can’t seem to keep on weight. I imagine that Sedrick Flowers will be the only guard that Texas really looks at in this class.
Probably two or three receivers, though that depends on if White commits if there are any defections in the spring. Miles Onyegbule and Jaxon Shipley are the locks to get offers and Trey Metoyer is too good not to offer. Then probably a guy like Marquis Jackson is in the mix as well.
As for Sims, the recent reports indicate that UT and OU are pretty much even for Sims, but the key here is that Aaron Green, Bradley Marquez, Malcolm Brown and possibly others all like Oklahoma as well, so the Sooners may not be able to take all the running backs that might be willing to commit there. Considering Sims’ talent though, OU might hold a scholarship for him no matter what, but if OU gets, say, Marquez and Brown, then it’s hard to imagine Sims wanting to become a Sooner. Of the three top backs, Sims seems like he likes Texas the most at this point. However, there haven’t been any updates since Aaron Green visited this weekend, so that may have had an impact on him.
Hope that helped.

while we're looking to the future...
who’s going to be our MLB next year? norton? tariq allen? earnest?

Muck!
Don’t give up hope yet that he’ll petition for a sixth season. Although yes, I’m pretty sure Norton will be there as well. I’m a little jazzed about Earnest at this point. I’m thrilled about the LB position for next season, in fact.

I gotta believe it's Norton at MLB
It was his job (shared with Bobino) for two years, and it was his job this year until he was sidelined. Only issue I have is that the shoulder gave out after surgery; might be something that can’t be fixed. Allen was playing OLB in the spring.
I’d guess Coach Boom leans toward playing whoever can run the best.
This is definitely the same guy.

3/19/2009 - Dogus Balbay Made a Three-Pointer. Never Forget.
d-backs
also how many d-backs do u think we will take
it’a a tall 250 pound guy who lines up next to the tackle and blocks as well as catches. but seriously who are others we might look at other than jenkins
Are you talking about a d-back or a tight end?
I can’t tell because you don’t know how to hit the reply button.

Hit the + sign or “reply”. Then, you’re replying to THAT comment. If you type your message in the “POST A COMMENT” box, you aren’t “replying” to anything.
im hitting reply
but all i get is the post a comment box
RuleBreaker
Apparently no one on this blog can follow you. I have no idea what you are asking, because your questions are not placed correctly hierarchically. Please conform to the rules you rebel. No outside the box behaviour, or you will be ridiculed.
Behaviour! I ridicule you and your strange ways of spelling, you foreign rebel!
Sorry…couldn’t resist.
I just wish people could put some effort into capitalization and punctuation. Typos happen all the time…I am a horrible offender, but a little punctuation and capitalization just makes things easier to read. I know this is supposed to be ‘casual’ conversation but the no punctuation, no capitalization is like having a conversation with sloppy, unintelligible drunk when you’re stone cold sober…annoying!
