next year o-line
do u guys think that the line will be better next year at run blocking because of the departure of tanner and hall. i think its a blessing in disguise. tray allen and snow should be starting and walter should be a beast at run blocking.
Your FanPost must be at least 75 words long. Right now it's only 46 words long. If you just have a quote, link, video or photo you'd like to share with the community, try creating a FanShot instead
All comments, FanPosts, and FanShots are the views of the reader-authors who create them.

Do you like this story?

No
And if you cant fill out a full Fanpost, dont make a fanpost. This should have been a comment on your last poorly thought out fanpost, not its own poorly thought out fanpost.

I don't really care about this issue, except that I always wondered
what the difference between a fanpost and a fanshot is. And why they need to be listed separately. if you ask me, I couldn’t care less where the “post” or “shot” is.
This is neither
But imo, a fanpost is to provide commentary, your slant, observation, story or thoughts to be put up for discussion. If you ever have a fanpost that pops up that message, it doesn’t need to be a fanpost. That however doesnt mean its deserving of a fanshot.
A fanshot, is for you to link quick shots, a nice picture, article, youtube etc. Something that doesn’t really require you to make additional commentary besides: look at this thing I wanted to share with you.

I get the difference
I just don’t see why we need separate listing locations. Maybe it’s just me, but when I check the site, I look at the latest posts, then I look at the latest shots and I don’t feel like I’m doing anything differently, other than having to look in two places for what comes down to the same thing. I usually don’t comment on either type, but I have left comments on both types, so I just don’t see the difference.
It’s not a big deal. I’m not trying to redesign the site – it’s fine – but just curious.
You don't see why we need seperate listing locations?
Geez, do you NOT believe in “the rule of law?”
I have kids

Pretending Then This Is A Fanpost
I don’t look for the OL to be much improved next year. We are turning over 3 starters – which is never as easy as you think. In addition, I think the real problem of the OL is at the top. Just not a crystal clear vision between GD and Mac on recruiting, and the overall goals and direction of the OL.
Early next year, our line will struggle
Later on, I’m cautiously optimistic it will be better than this year’s. Was planning a fanpost on same but Thanksgiving duties got in the way.
Summarizing: Tanner and Hall are admirable athletes and students. They are also the weak links on a team with national title aspirations. Adam Ulatoski has not panned out as many (certainly me included) expected. Kyle Hix is no star but he’s a well above average OT. Michael Huey has been a disappointment, but he’s no bust.
The addition of Mason Walters and David Snow to the lineup, with Allen or Britt Mitchell as the fifth starter, gives me hope. It’ll take a few games — and the Tech game evidently is now in mid-September, although UT has not announced that. Walters has mega upside. Allen has some talent. Mitchell is serviceable. We don’t drop off much if the left tackle position is adequately filled.
I've been wondering where Walters goes
Throw a RS-Fr (probable, assuming he’s granted his medical redshirt) in there at LT, with Allen the probable starter at LG, Snow at C, and Huey and Hix back on the right side? Hard to imagine what other possibility there could be, but I guess someone like Mitchell, Porter, Poehlmann, or Kelley could really step up in the spring and pre-season workouts.
I really think the anticipation of Uli’s departure might be the big reason the coaches spent so long trying to make Allen into a left tackle, so I guess it’s also possible that they follow through on that experiment. I’d like to see more time for him in the remaining two games, if the rotation allows.

I automatically think of these guys
when ANYTHING I come across is lacking capitalization and punctuation. Even post on other blogs, friends’ facebook profiles, class message boards, etc.

Yeah, my immediate thought too.
Besides the lack of punctuation, he usually starts with some football opinion question.
