Why does everyone hate USC so much?
I just don't understand.

Wow
Total dick move by both coaches. Carroll trumps Rick, though, for the “Asshole of the Day” award.
Dear UCLA
Don’t poke the bear. Pete Carroll might be nice to blind kids and stuff, but he is a real dick on game day. Can you even imagine Mack Brown EVER doing anything like this? Never.

jeez
I assume this was talking about the USC vss UCLA game. Both coaches made dumb moves, but Carroll’s was worse. I wish UCLA had picked off that pass and returned it for a Touchdown.

Can't fault Neuheisel
Can fault Carroll. And should. Just bush.
Mack would do neither — call time down 21-7, or go for the bomb if up 21-7 after the TO
Wha?
Rick calls a timeout. Is that not a direct signal that “this game is not over”? And if so, why should the opposition take a knee.
I fail to see how Carroll’s a bad guy for this. Even if Mack Brown wouldn’t do it — Pete Carroll wasn’t wrong for it. Neuheisel asked for it.
You ain't hurt.
I'd agree to an extent
Neuheisel did call the timeout, but that doesn’t mean Carroll shouldn’t just run out the clock. As randomguy says above its similar to the end of a basketball game. You don’t go jacking 3’s and running plays for alley-oops just because the other team fouls or calls timeout when the game is clearly over.
Regardless, my biggest gripe is the way the SC coaches and players were acting when it all happened. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen, but I thought it was unnecessary.
'Til Gabriel blows his horn...
you have to think
that Neuheisel was trying to win. He was hoping that SC would fumble a snap or something. Basically, he was just not giving up completely. The bomb, on the other hand, was to rub Neuheisel’s nose in the loss. No good could come from that play for SC. Bad PR, and it only gives UCLA a greater motivation for next year.

USC/UCLA
I don’t blame USC for sending in that play after they call a timeout while they were tring to run out the clock. When you show the other team you are running down the clock and they have no chance in winning and then they call time out, it was just delaying a certain outcome. USC isn’t very good anyway.
