Defense performance vs. non-conference
It is sort of interesting to look at how many points we gave up to our non-conference opponents in sequence:
20, 10, 7, 3 - almost a perfect mathematical improvement each week by reducing scoring by 50%. That is the power of the 'Champ and his adjustments (or the pure randomw coincedence). I chose to believe in the overall improvement of the team. Additionally, in reality the defense only gave up 3 to wyoming and 0 to utep.
So, really no point to be proven here, hust interesting.
Let's take down baylor!

defense can hardly be charged with the FG at Wyoming
That was on the “drive” where Tucker tried to run on 4th and 9 or something. They were already in FG range, that one’s on the offense.
Same goes for UTEP
Pick 6 from Colt, not the Defense’s fault.
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
What you're actually seeing with that trend...
Is the offense improving by not making as many mistakes.
The D has been good the entire time.
So in the next non-conference game...
…which should be in Pasadena in January, I’m expecting no more than two points.
Another interesting point fact
ULM has scored the second most points against us out of every team we’ve played. How would you’ve felt if you would’ve known that info going into the season?
