Scott may be eligible for post season / Championship
Looks like after the semester is over, Christian Scott should be clear in the eyes of the NCAA. That means he may get reps in any BCS game that we're in.

This has been discussed a little in other threads
But it’s worth a topic, of course. I really have no idea whether Muschamp and Akina would want to put him in there for defensive snaps. His style of play would seem ideal against Alabama, for example, since they’re a lot less capable in the passing game, and Scott’s strength is in keeping the play in front of him and making the hit.

Does he lose a year eligibilty already?

Yes. He loses a year
But since he redshirted in 2007, playing in a bowl this season won’t cost him a year. His five-year span would be 2007-11, and he could play in 2010 and 2011 but no more.
Brandon Collins did not redshirt in 2007, so playing him in a bowl would cost him a year. Like Scott, he has two years left after this one.

Suit Him Up
He has been practicing every week. He could definitely help in run support. I like Gideon, but he dives over the pile, misses ball carriers, and hits our own guys too much on run support.

I think Gideon's by far the better all-around safety
But Scott would be ideal against a very run-heavy team, or on likely rushing downs against most other teams. I think OCs would pick on him, especially with all the rust, if UT were facing a team like Cincinnati.
