Hicks Narrows List ($)
Jordan Hicks has not been able to schedule trips to USC and Alabama in the last several weeks and it appears now that he will not take either trip, with his visit to Florida on December 12th likely to be his final official visit. Ohio State, Florida, and Texas now look like the teams vying for his services.

Can't help but think
that the possible departure of Charlie Strong to a head coaching gig may weigh on the mind of Hicks, especially considering the strong relationship he seems to have developed with Muschamp.
I sure hope so
I saw this report on Hicks on Rivals, too. Looks like semi-good news. Ohio State has a huge advantage based on geography, but this is a good report to see.

Dear Mrs. Hicks
As winter approaches in Ohio, think about the warm sunny days in Austin, the beautiful river through the city and the beautiful drives through the hill country. The climate is similar to Florida but Austin lacks the hurricanes. Bring your son when you come.
I understand the appeal of Texas. I am a Texas Ex living in Ohio.
We all can’t wait to see Jordan don the Burnt Orange of the University of Texas!
Ohio Horn
The climate is NOT similar to Florida. That place is the armpit of the world. I lived there almost as long as I lived in Austin. Florida is the only place that has worse summers / “falls” / “springs” than Houston. The only positive is that you can get to a better beach.
Malaria is not cool. Go to Austin.
Well, 33 percent is better than 20 percent
I still believe he WANTS to wear orange. OUR orange, not UF’s.
He wants to wait, cuz he’s gonna get grief from those around him if he picks anybody but Ohio State. If I was Tressel, I’d be damn concerned that he hasn’t committed.
Early in his recruitment he was ALL Texas
He’s always been a fan of the Longhorns. I think there was just too much pressure to immediately dismiss tOSU.
Alabama or Florida in MNC Game
I sincerely hope that all Texas fans out there would want our team to face only the best contender in the country. We should want to have to earn it. Wishing to play a lesser team seems to me to be disrespectful to the University.
So we should play TCU. I believe they are playing better on both sides of the ball than either Florida or Alabama
TCU has the ability to give an Alabama or Florida a scare once in a while
But they don’t have the ability to line up toe-to-toe with them on a consistent basis. TCU isn’t in the same class; they’re more like a Boise State or Hawaii.

TCU needs to worry about getting passed by Cincy
Nothing else.

“better team” is always subjective, if bama beats florida fair and square, and we match up better to bama, is it bad to hope for bama because we think we’d have an advantage over them in matchup?
i think this year, either team can be considered the best, but it’d be wrong for us to hope and pray for cincinatti or something like that.
