Volleyball makes Final Four
The NCAA selection committee's attempt to screw Texas didn't work, as the Horns defeated Nebraska 3-1 to win the Omaha regional. It's the third win of the season for Texas over the Huskers and is especially sweet coming on what is basically Nebraska's home court and in front of their fans. Nebraska got out to a fast start and fought off a Texas rally to win the first set, but the Horns dominated the rest of the match, despite some uncharacteristic serving errors and poor passing.
Texas will play Minnesota in the semifinals Thursday night in Tampa. If they win, they'll most likely face undefeated and two-time defending national champion Penn State in the national title match.
Thursday's semifinal will be televised on ESPNU.

I just watched my first UT volleyball game this season . . .
. . . and a word of advice to other Horn fans out there: make sure you watch this team play next week. Not just out of school loyalty, but also to watch Destinee Hooker play. What an amazingly talented athlete. She had me at the first kill . . .

just an observation
I mean no disrespect to a truly gifted athlete, and one of our fellow longhorns… but she has probably one of the best birth given stripper names ever
After witnessing the fun he had with "Colt McCoy" for four years . . .
. . . I can only imagine the fun Brent Musburger would have if he covered college volleyball. It’s not too late for ESPN to assign him to the Final Four!

He should have said
“With all due respect” because you can say anything after that and its not disrespectful. Lessons learned from Ricky Bobby.
Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.
Those that haven't seen them live
over the past few seasons have definitely missed out. Destinee is a special, special athlete. Even standing around, she looks like a tightly coiled spring, and when she springs it’s an amazing sight to behold. Jordan-esque, the female version. She just seems to float forever.
+1, so much agreed

game cast screw up
I came home late last night (into the fourth game) and game cast showed Nebraska up two to one. I couldn’t get my daughter to turn of Hanna Montana so I am trying to follow it and getting worried. When I finally got the TV back I see that it is Texas up 2-1 and finishing the last game strong. Man, I would have hated to go down to Nebraska in the regionals.
Great game ladies. two to go for the championship!!!
Correction on the broadcast
Thursday night’s semifinal vs. Minnesota is scheduled for 6 PM Central on ESPN2, rather than ESPNU.
