UT's Dominance of the SEC
In case you missed it, The Bleacher Report has an interesting article on Texas' record versus the SEC over the years. I doubt this has any bearing at all to the current coaching staffs and players. As a Texas fan, I love the fact the we own bragging rights with the majority of the SEC schools. My personal opinion is that Texas, unlike other Big 12 schools in recent memory, is not intimated by other programs. I take pride in our current winning culture. When we are favored to win, we do so without embarrassing our opponents. When we are the underdog... well, it seems like we just step up our collective game and prove people wrong. As I scour the web, I have yet to see a poll that doesn't have 70% of America picking the Tide to hoist the crystal ball. The SEC hasn't seen this version of the Muschamp defense.....
I loved one of the comments posted...
"Interesting side note: Tommy Nobis and Joe Namath were both present for an event recently and Joe told Tommy that he scored in that famous goal line stand at the 1965 Orange bowl. Tommy responded, " Joe, not only did you not cross the goal line, none of your offensive linemen crossed over."

Texas Problem? Sounds like History not current.
I read the article. I like the last statement. What Texas problem? My question is, what is Texas going to do about this years problems on Jan 7th?
With one exception.
That dominance doesn’t apply to Vanderbilt. The past is no indication of the present/future.
Generally true
College teams have extraordinarily high turnover as organizations, so it’s not like we’re talking about the same teams as even one year ago, let alone 100.

Because of History
It’s helpful when you have an Ohio State fan that thinks the Big 12 is the most over rated conference in college football and that Texas is historically over rated and will never beat an SEC team. It’s nice to have these little nuggets of truth to E-mail their way!

When we win this game, it won't even be an upset to me.
I expect us to win, it’s only a question of how dramatic the win will be. Final drive? Maybe.
In-VINCE-able.
A win's a win
I’m torn as to whether I’d rather see a trademark heroic comeback drive or an embarrassment of Nick Saban and Mark Ingram. Honestly, I don’t dislike Ingram, and I have no beef with the majority of Bama fans, so I’m less inclined to root for a blowout, but it’d be sweet redemption after all the doubts UT has faced all season, particularly after the Big 12 championship game.
Speaking of the Big 12 championship, Nebraska doesn’t seem to be such an unlikely upstart anymore. They played Arizona about as well as they played Texas.

I always want to see blowouts. To me, those are “good games.” But I know fans who disagree.
[Nebraska] played Arizona about as well as they played Texas.
Agree. Heh, I was saying that to anyone who would listen yesterday.
A blowout removes all doubt and controversy, other than allegations of running up the score
A thriller, like Vince Young’s leading the drive to take the lead against USC, can be epic.

We???? You play for Texas or do you have a rat in your pocket?
I expect “Bama” to dominate like “they” did in the SEC CG. The Final drive I expect Bama to be snapping and kneeling. I have only watched Texas only three times this year, I was not impressed in either game. No disrespect to the Texas fans or players, just my honest observations. Both teams have had some unimpressive games. I think the ones that Bama had was because of poor execution in the redzone and QB slump mid season. They have definitely worked those kinks out. Texas better be ready for Bama’s offense and I have no doubt about Bama’s defense. Don’t expect to see Texas’ normal run up the score, pass at will offense or Colt scramble on third and long because the pass rush parts like the red sea. I can’t wait it’s going to be a good one. Bama is dialed in and focused for some smash mouth SEC dominance. “0-7-1”, I like it! " Bama has never beat Texas", I like that one too. “Bama has never seen a defense like Muschamp’s”, I like that one too. I watched the A&M game and the 39 points scored on Muschamp’s Defense. I will be surprised if it is even close. Texas’ score will look like the Oklahoma score. I don’t mean to offend anyone. Just my opinion, like they say, we all have one. If I am wrong, I’ll come back and apologize for my prognostication.
