Sometimes it's tough to detect sarcasm in text.
But you’re kidding, right? The Gators should be praying they don’t play us.
Scip is right. As he usually is.
I don’t want any part of Florida’s defensive demons. Not in the past, not now, not ever. Now, if we beat Nebraska, I’m sure we’ll give them a go. But those guys totally dominated Ohio State three seasons back and took apart enough of what really was one of the great offenses in college football history with OU last year.
That said, can we beat Florida? Absolutely. But we beat Alabama more easily, for exactly the reasons Scipio spells out.
I respect Saban, and Mack has come a long way in his game-planning. But Urban Meyer is an absolute master at this, and he has a battle-tested squad (some current seniors played against Ohio State). Oh, and the Gators field a fair amount of talent.
So, who would I rather play? I was hoping Cincinnati would find a way to get to No. 2, with us at No. 1.
+ 1 on all of the above

Guys
Remember how great it was a few years ago in the Rose Bowl, when Texas beat the “greatest team of all time” coached by the “greatest coach in the television era of college football”.
Well, we’re probably going to be in the Rose Bowl again. And a lot of this stuff sounds familiar…
Could be wrong, just sayin’.
So you're sayin'
We should look past any actual analysis that might say UF matches up really well against Texas and instead rely on a bunch of hand-picked coincidences with a game played four years ago that have absolutely zero correlation to the here and now? Makes sense to me.
I don't remember saying that.
But I am saying that some folks seem to be buying into the Florida “mystique”, and they’re mostly chasing ghosts. Florida and Bama have NOT had stellar seasons, they have been squeaking past average opponents (see: both LSU games and virtually every other SEC matchup).
What I’m saying is if you ignore the rankings and national media, and actually watch both teams – then so far this season they aren’t anything to be afraid of.
Bring on florida
Muschamp has never lost to the Meyer and I would rather see us take on the defending natl champ.I think we have a master or two at game planning also but florida lost 1 game last year as us and beat ou by 10 as us so I dont think florida is scary but looks like a hell of a game.
Has anyone heard whats happening with floridas star DE that had a DUI,thats got to hurt goin into these games ?
Carlos Dunlap
That’s about all that’s happening I believe. He’s suspended indefinitely, much like DJ. And yeah, I suspect it will hurt a good bit.

I want BAMA
They know they can’t beat us………and since we are 6-0-1 against them I say let’s make it lucky number 7.
I was in B’Ham for Thanksgiving and Texas is the one team they dread playing. We are their achilles heal and they know it.
That said, back to beating Nebraska…first things first.
Beat Nebraska
then we’ll worry about this crap.
Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis.
Parallels...
Between 2005 and 2009… it’s just too uncanny, our Heisman candidate QB getting not enough respect and the same with the team as a whole.
Bring on Tebow…. I am with Coach Boom, to be the best, you have to play against the best and then beat the best… Florida is the best, just like USC was. I want Tebow and I want the Gators. I KNOW we can do it.
Play like you mean it...
