Luck and a Prayer (or two)!
Glad to see us win! HOWEVER, McCoy didn't help himself in the Heisman race being tossed around by Suh and throwing behind his receivers; and 3 picks! He's lucky Shipley picked up his 3rd-down pass off of the carpet when he threw from the end-zone.
And where did McCoy get "15 seconds" on the clock on the final "drive" (which would never have been possible without the bad plays of Nebraska)? One more second in the air, and the game would have been over, and he acted as if it was no big deal.
If the Huskers had any sort of offense, we'd have been toast. Yes, luck and a prayer had a lot to do with our win. Face it, we were humbled by Nebraska, and should have lost.
Now off to play a strong Alabama team, with probably the Heisman winner Ingram, on offense! The way I see it, their defense is probably as good as Nebraska's (less Suh of course); but Bama can roll on offense. Those are ingredients for disaster for the Longhorns. Let's be happy for now. But let's be realistic; we'll need more luck and a lot of prayers to hang with Bama! Sad, but true!
I'm just dissappointed in the play of the Longhorns, yes, even the defense because it is no big showing when you are playing a horrible offense. Perhaps Mack and Colt will learn some "humbleness" after the BCS championship game is over. Mark my words.

Welcome to BON
as I see this is you first post. Not sure where you come from but where we come from, you kinda want to introduce yourself and give a little background on where you are coming from with your commentary. Your handle says something about you. I’m sure you were looking for LuckyHorn but my guess is more likely LackyHorn.
You certainly are welcome here but know we will call you out when we get a wiff of no-horn bullsh*t. I think I’m smelling a little right now. Just calling like I see it, padna’.

It Is What It IS!
Naysayers go home! Have you ever had a bad day @ work or school? Did you perform at your very best? Have you had adversity that you needed help to complete your task??? Well the O did and the D picked up the slack. This was not a chink in the armour of the Horns but a demonstration of the redundency this team has. When one system is’nt working just right the other taks over. Thanksgivng was the O’s day to help last night it was the Ds and Special Teams turn. Champions find ways to win and they dont blow out every opponent
A bit excessive ...
After last night’s game, TX has plenty to work on. But we have Muschamp and a month to prepare. Alabama looks very good and it should be a very physical game. We can pull it out if we improve our offensive game calling.
Adjustments not needed
Longhorns just keep doin what you’re doin… winning! It does not matter what you drive to the dance as long as you are the one taking the prom queen home!!!!!!
LuckyLonghorn???
If that’s what your name is supposed to reference, is it a coincidence that the 2 missing letters are ou?

It all falls on McCoy!
One month later, prediction, confirmed! But perhaps my entire prediction would not have come true if McCoy was not so selfish. Just going off of what I saw last night——a very good Texas Defense, better than Bama’s last night, oh, and a loser called McCoy who not only deliberately let his team down by stepping out, but let burnt orange nation down and the entire Big 12; for what? so he wouldn’t look bad if he got beat by Alabama afraid it wouldn’t ding him going into the draft? or was it that he was afraid he’d get more hits by the big bad Bama D and really get injured? Hey, but alas, he gave Mack Brown an excuse which I’m sure he used in his post game. And what’s with the sad little commentary by McCoy after the game. absolutely pitiful. he’s got a career in hollywood. can’t feel his arm, eh? never said he couldn’t throw, now did he?? OH, but he could clap his hands, slap his teammates on the pads with his right arm, and laugh on the sideline with VYoung. McCoy just dissed everyone for his own good. Pansy. Put him in the SHED with daddy’s boy Adam James because they are both TOOLS. Too bad Texas didn’t have a Sheffield (TECH) like backup QB. If they did, BurntOrangeNation would be enjoying another National Championship. Hey, TECH, OU and Nebraska got the job done this bowl season. Hats off to them for not making the Big12 look too bad!
YOUR A DUMB ASS!
He has played his rear end off here for 4 yrs and you want to say he stepped out so he would look bad? Your an Idiot who has obviously never played a sport. You do not get to be a player of his talent and accolades without being ultra competitive. Have you truelly played this game. Do you know anything of someof the freakish accidents that can happen in a game. Ya OU and Tech, thanks for not making us look bad. You have only looked like crap all year!
Glad you're in denial about the truth
Because the truth hurts sometimes. I hope the denial helps with your healing.
BTW, did you actually get a degree from UT, or are you just on the bandwagon like 70% of UT fans?
Ill give you the truth.
I never attended. My scholarship was pulled when Mack Brown became HEAD COACH! Yes you read that right. Like most Texas fans it is bread into us from birth and we are proud of who we are and what our team, coach and school stands for. Remember these words. “WE’RE TEXAS”! We don’t pull our loyalty when something goes wrong or doesnt go in the direction we want. Denial. Nope! We got beat by a great football team who was recognized today as National Champions! Pain? Sure but I have next season to look forward to and before you say your losing all your players. “WE’RE TEXAS” We dont rebuild we reload!
