The Heisman shouldn’t be won or lost by one game. It should be the whole year and highlights. That’s why it is for most outstanding player of the year, not what you did right before voting takes place
The vote is also becoming laughable. The vote seems to be influenced by the BCS standings more year after year. There is precedent for a winner with career records (Ricky Williams and Ron Dane). Colt has the most wins and highest comp % of any QB ever and the first QB to record 12 wins in back to back seasons.
If you look back at past heisman winners, especially before the BCS, I know there are winners on teams that didn't finish in the top two in the country. I'm not rooting for or against Colt, but I believe that he is a worthy Heisman winner in my book and to not be included with the winners of past Heismans would be bad for the trophy. They risk the Heisman trophy becoming irrelevant in college football.

I would rather he didn't win it...
Call it coincidence, but 6 out of 7 Heisman winners who have played in the BCS championship game have lost. Maybe coming in second again will give him extra motivation.
Honestly
I think Gerhart or CJ Spiller have been the most outstanding players this year. In nearly every performance they have been downright awesome. You cannot say the same about Colt. He is an excellent player and deserves to be in the discussion but I honestly think it would be a hollow victory for Colt to win it this year.
