will muschamp and major applewhite
has anyone given thought to how much if any having these two on our staff plays in our favor vs. alabama
having two former saban staffers most certainly helps us right?
muschamp was around saban for five years i believe
and then the year after he leaves his staff he goes to auburn and coaches against a bama team that year (granted they weren't good, but they lost)
meanwhile major was the o.c. for saban, even though it was only one year
these two things have to help us for this matchup right?

It certainly doesn't hurt
Teams change year to year and coaches often time change little things themselves. There is no measurable way to say what it does for Texas but like I said, it doesn’t hurt.

There's certainly no statistical precedent for it that I know of
but my years of watching football tell me that having a coach who previously worked with your opponent is usually a good thing.
If you're so sure of what it ain't, how about telling us what it am!
Do you really think GD is going to change anything for Bama ?
Muschamp will, but I would be surprised if we dont see another OU/Neb offensive performance.
Can't get enough of that cowbell !!!

You may be right, but wouldn’t it be nice to see a scheme that could exploit 7 D-backs? Cody Johnson, Antwan Cobb, and Tre’ Newton in a power I would be awesome to watch if Bama goes Pelini on us. Switch out MccGee and Fozzie at TB and run 4 yards per carry until the Bama D can’t pick themselves up or at least have to adjust with slower LB’s to support the run.
