White To Visit Oklahoma State, Not Oklahoma ($)
Fort Worth Dunbar wide receiver Darius White was supposed to take his official visit to Oklahoma for the Bedlam game, but decided to re-schedule. Now it looks like White might not make it back to Norman in the near future, as he canceled another visit and decided to travel to Stillwater instead, a slap in the face for the Oklahoma coaching staff.
Without any word from White, it's hard to say why he made this decision, but it certainly bodes well for Texas in his recruitment and poorly for the Sooners. As for Oklahoma State, it's possible that the Cowboys are back in the race for White, but it probably says more about the other two programs and their respective positions.

Literally impossible- yet it has happened.

I think at this point the bang to hype ratio is so overwhelming there is no way White could meet expectations with us. I would always welcome anyone to the 40 acres, even the running back from Temple but, I think D. White should probably move on from us.

It's not about what he's been
It’s about what he can and will become.

no offense
But you’re crazier than a loon.
a) 90% of the Texas fanbase probably has zero idea who Darius White is at this point.
b) White doesn’t even come close to being the most hyped kid Texas has recruited.
c) It wouldn’t be any different for him at OU.

Yes, I am crazier than a loon and nuttier than a fruitcake.
a) I will concede up to 75% of the fanbase, not 90%.
b) Being hyped isn’t a good competition. Imagine Chris Simms, if he wasn’t the player of the year coming into this and trying to live up to those expectations. Perception might change.
c) OU Sucks.

Thanks!
That makes sense NeTexHorn, that makes sense!
D White Hype
There is plenty of hype around White. I have even heard people compare him to Julio Jones at Bama.
On one hand I’ve been tempted to say Texas doesn’t need to waste anymore time on him and his inability to let his high school teammates find their own way (Favors and Sanders) while he finds his. But on the other hand I think he is a good kid that has really had a hard time deciding if he comes to Texas, by himself, and competes on the big scale or stays with his friend Sanders and competes on the smaller scale.
If he was interested in OU he would have committed with Favors. I don’t think OU is in the picture, especially in light of this news.
I think he will commit to us and will have a great time with his new team and hooking up with Gilbert and competing with Chirs Jones and Cobbs for catches. They will absolutly be electric and will terrify defenses. Can’t wait to see what he does.
Apparently this news is a typo on ESPN
It could just be spin from sooner fans, but it’s happened before on espn.
Typo
They have removed the link. He’s going to Norman. We cant trust ESPN as a source anymore, that just makes me laugh.

They may have got the story from ESPN as their source, but this is what they show. I searched D. Sanders also to see if he was also going to Okie State this weekend but it didn’t show anything for him this weekend.
