Unis
I'm wondering what everyone here thinks of the Horn's new basketball uniforms. I know this is the second year they've worn this style, so they may not qualify as 'new,' but still...I remember first seeing this style, Nike's 'System of Dress' unveiled during the 2007 NCAA Tournament with a few teams (Ohio State, Florida, a few others) and thinking, "Those look terrible, I hope Texas never goes that route."
Fast forward to the beginning of last season and sure enough, the Horns-and many other school for that matter-are rocking the ultra snug tops with the billowy dress-like shorts. Horrible.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but what was wrong with the previous issue? I loved the duds that TJ took us the Final Four in, and that KD wowed us in two years ago. Let me know what y'all think, and if I'm totally off-base and the only one who hates this look, by all means, call me out.

Lets be honest here
Texas b-ball can make any changes they want to the uniforms, so long as they promise to NEVER, EVER, EVER bring back the all black and burnt orange unis.

I loved the all-black....
….and I’ve forgiven the Duke ass-whipping at this point. I’m ready to see ’em again! I think I heard a rumor that they were going to wear them for a tourney game a season or two ago, but ultimately decided against it. Can anyone confirm this?

totally disagree with you....I thought the all black jerseys with the white lettering and burnt orange trim looked really good
however….they did get smashed by duke but they looked good doing it

I don't mind the "Halloween" jerseys
maybe it’s because Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, but I like any jersey with a black background.

Black Jerseys are awesome
And if Texas football could guarantee a win whilst wearing them, then by all means they should don those black and orange jerseys when they play those bastards from Lubbock this year. Unfortunately, I associate any black jerseys with the carpetbombing at MSG in 2005 against Duke. That was horrible, and has yet to be forgotten.

basketball is all about style and expensive sneakers
so let Nike keep dressing us there… it seems the recruits dig the look, so leave it be….

I'd rather not have the football team wear black
that might kill a few players in the hot summers. I’m not joking btw.

I've seen
..the QB’s wear them, IIRC, but agree that it would suck for lineman to have to wear those.

They're only worn by the QBs in practice

Why change the nicest looking uni's in college athletics?
If it aint broke, don’t fix it. Just as I hate Notre Dame in Green, Texas should not change it up on the gridiron. It would be like if Michigan put an “M” on their helmets or if Oklahoma won a bowl game. Tradition makes college football great.

Michigan
I don’t know if you noticed but they switched over to adidas this season and their uniforms have changed. They are no longer attractive in any way as the maize was changed to some hideous form of neon yellow. As far as the changing of uniforms goes as well, Nike releases new styles every year and if you pay attention, even ours have changed. The general style has stayed the same, but the cut, fabric and overall design of the jersey itself has drastically changed within the last 10 years.

Silver
Penders had a set of silver uniforms that he’d bring out every so often.

uniforms
Can anyone find a link to a picture of these old “Halloween” uniforms?
And personally, I think a black jersey for a night game would be just ridiculously good looking.

Do you think JJ Reddick vs. JD Lewis was a mismatch?

thank you
Those are so sick, I wish that they would make another appearance and we wear them in the tourney when we knock off OU.
It’s 6:39 CST and OU still sucks….

Shoulder thingies
The thing that bothers me about the orange shirts is the little white stripes on the back of the shoulders.
