No confirmation yet from Wood, but Orangebloods is now reporting Connor Wood as committed to the Longhorns, a move he apparently made yesterday evening (Inside Texas reports the same ($)). If true, recruiting is now done at the quarterback position, with Texas securing commitments from the only two they pursued. Wood fits perfectly into the Longhorn offense, but will have long wait ahead of him until Garret Gilbert leaves campus and allows him a chance to start. Great news for the Longhorns, though.

Update: Now confirmed ($) by BOB, which spoke to Wood this evening.

Hey, what were the odds that Colt would beat out Snead? It’s not the most likely thing to happen, but much stranger things have happened, and this wouldn’t even register as a surprise at this point.

do you think?

Do you think all these great recruits can lead Hack Brown to his SECOND big 12 title in 12 years?

and do you think?

L’il Stoopsie is starting to sweat now that he’s 0-for-his-Texas targets? Can’t wait for 10/17/09.
