Kirkpatrick, Kelly pick Alabama

Alabama could have a chance at the national recruiting title with signatures Dre Kirkpatrick and Kendall Kelly this afternoon.

The five-star Kirkpatrick, from Gadsden (Ala.) Gadsden City, is the nation's top cornerback and the No. 11 overall recruit in the country. He picked his home-state school over Texas.

Kelly, a wide receiver from Gadsden (Ala.), picked the Crimson Tide over LSU and Tennessee. He is a Rivals250 prospect who is ranked sixth in Alabama.

Good luck to him

Maybe he’ll help Alabama beat Florida and LSU and possibly set up Texas vs Bama for the national title. Oh yeah, one more thing. In response to him saying Texas doesn’t have the “swagger” that Alabama has. If swagger is getting beat down by Utah in a BCS game then he can have all the swagger he wants.

Where did you read that they only had eight scholarships to offer?

How Saban will finagle the difference between eight available scholarships and twenty-seven signees will be truly magical. It’s somewhat like fitting an elephant through a door—and into the living room.

Similarly, at Ole Miss

I noticed on the class rankings that Ole Miss has commitments from 37 players. I haven’t done any research, but I’m willing to bet Nutt doesn’t have that many scholarships to dole out.

I know he's good and all..

But I’m confident that the likes of Eryon Barnett and Marcus Davis that we will be ok.
