2 Garland Teammates Commit to Texas; Jackson and Phillips are Longhorns

The long and extended title says it all. Linebacker Tevin Jackson and his Garland teammate athlete Adrian Phillips have both now committed to Texas according to Rivals.com . This brings Rival's tally of Texas commits to 7 (they do not have Case McCoy listed as one of them). What are the initial thoughts to the news?

Saw them play earlier this year when Garland played Naaman Forest. Neither one of them stood out to me. John Harris was the best player on the field that day. He was a nice pickup IMO.

1. Case did commit to UT
2. John Harris from garland also gave his Commitment to UT which gives texas 3 garland commits.
3. Phillips(2.87) and Jackson(2.67) both have a bad GPA. Harris’s GPA isn’t listed on rivals. These guys are academic risks.
