First 2010 Rivals 100
http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?SID=880&Year=2010&ra_key=2369
Three of the initial top 6 are from Texas:
Seastrunk at #2, D. White at #3, and Jeffcoat at #6
Texas commits on the list:
Hopkins #48
Bible #68
Jones #70
Espinosa #75
Dixon #86
Benson #100
Others of note to all of the recruiting addicts:
Trovon Reed at #14, Jordan Hicks at #16, Reggie Wilson at #20, Jake Matthews at #62, and DeMarco Cobbs at #80.
For reference, last year's #5 ranked class had 6 players finish in the top 100. It's such an early list and there will be many more 5 star players on subsequent lists, but it's exciting to think how great this class could be with a few more signings.

good to see, now to secure some of the top talent as well as get our lesser known recruits more exposure and moving up the rankings

observation
RB Mack Brown out of Georgia is considering Oklahoma – that could get confusing.
More fodder for commentators
When they can no longer discuss the McCoy/Shipley/Fathers/Roommates connection

Jordan Hicks
What is going on with this guy? It seem like he’s trying to beg his way into Texas…. What gives? Have we even offered this guy? Rarely does the #16 player from out of state come knocking down your down. Just Sayin’
UT being his dream school
has been way overblown in my opinion. He does have interest in us and he does have an offer, but I don’t think we are the runaway favorite that has been rumored. Lately he seems to be warming up to USC.
It does show the crazy variation
once you get past the top few players. Chris Jones isn’t even ranked on a lot of Texas Top 100 lists (due to lack of film I assume), and Espinosa is around 20th in Texas on most lists. Connor Wood is notably absent from this initial list, and the story discusses how it is a weak year overall for QB’s.
It looks like the last time there were no Texas QB’s in the final 100 was 2005. It must have been a down year – Texas had to sign a 3-star QB that you may have heard of.
Should be a lot of changes between now and signing day
If I remember correctly Okafor was not even ranked in the initial 100 last season and he ended up in the top 20.
I think we get Reggie Wilson, D. White and Hicks off that list for sure. And hopefully either Seasruck or Jeffcoat. That would make for a great class.

Texas has 6 commits from that list
Florida has 3
USC has 2
Ohio St has 2
Texas is cleaning up, still really early.

texas is cleaning up cause they have a full class signed, though i think once our players get more exposure several will shoot up the list.

I agree
I think there should be a few more guys that will move up and in to the 100.
Connor Wood
Shead
And possibly one of the DBs Byndom or Jackson
I also think these guys will move up the list
Bible
Benson
Dixon

Bible's film is about as impressive as it gets for a DT.
He looked like Roy freakin’ Miller already. Is he lowly ranked because he doesn’t have the potential to balloon into a 350 lb guy that plays that way (like anyone does)?
Top 150
Supposedly Wood and Tevin Jackson are going to be in the Top 150 when it comes out tomorrow.
Lache Seastrunk
How comparable are his skills to Ramonce Taylor in 2005? Do you see him playing the same role as Taylor did (hopefully without the off-the-field issues) as a hybrid WR/RB?
Just give me Darius White, Reggie Wilson and Hicks!
"Football's so important in Texas. On the West Coast, it's a social. On the East Coast, it's a culture. Here, it's a religion."
-- Major Applewhite
those 3 plus Adrian White
and I’d be happy. Seastrunk would make me down right giddy.
Rumors, news from other boards
DB Adrian White is announcing his decision on Friday on an Austin radio station.
Rumors, hints from subscription posters “in the know” suggest that:
D. White, long time Texas lean, is edging toward a decision. Looking good for Texas
Seastrunk and Jeffcoat are up in the air still, but Texas is recruiting them diligently. Hard to tell with either.
Reggie Wilson from Haltom has Texas really high on his list. He’s narrowed it down to Texas, OU, and TCU. Wants to stick close to home. This is also looking good for Texas.
I’ll be psyched if any of these guys choose Texas. They’re great talents. But until there’s a confirmed commitment, I’m not holding my breath for any one.

I think everyone except Case McCoy has a good shot of cracking into the 250 once more film comes out, unless Case puts up monster numbers his senior year.. i doubt he’ll do the same.
