Fearless Prediction 2

Harrison starts. How else do you counteract Baylor playing off the guards like OSU did?

by Sleepy on Mar 2, 2009 7:51 PM CST reply actions

whoa....

we’re actually going to get to see the start of the game tonight!!

by silky51 on Mar 2, 2009 8:00 PM CST reply actions

Like a Car Wreck

I just don’t know what to expect or how bad it may be but I gotta look.

by realmccoy on Mar 2, 2009 8:04 PM CST reply actions

hope to see a little more emotion tonight

from players and fans. senior night and all.

for some reason

the media stills seems to think that this is abrams team

by UTrumbo on Mar 2, 2009 8:23 PM CST reply actions

15-7 TX at under-12

Baylor lost on offense. Texas doing a pretty good job running sets to get looks near the rim.

Who's #24?

New signing? Haven’t seen him all year

by 40AS on Mar 2, 2009 8:27 PM CST reply actions

Haha Dexy is scoring at ease

all we have to do is get him the damn ball.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:29 PM CST reply actions

ROFL

Baylor shows how not to run the fast break, leading to a fb on our own

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:31 PM CST reply actions

Back door!

Good cut, great pass!

by Peter Bean on Mar 2, 2009 8:33 PM CST reply actions

the upside to balbay

far outweigh the very workable issues he has.

by UTrumbo on Mar 2, 2009 8:34 PM CST reply actions

Matt Hill

forgot he was on the roster!

by Dawnpatrol on Mar 2, 2009 8:38 PM CST reply actions

Wow!

Balbay is kinda quick

by 40AS on Mar 2, 2009 8:40 PM CST reply actions

Nice take by Balbay...

But Chappy got pinned…. Does someone get the sense that Coach told Chappy to attack the basket?

by the1austin on Mar 2, 2009 8:40 PM CST reply actions

Chapman

WTF? Chapman plays with bricks on both hands!

by Dawnpatrol on Mar 2, 2009 8:41 PM CST reply actions

Balbay

I saw Balbay jump in front of a speeding train and rescue a baby this weekend. And how the F do they know anything about Harrison Smith? He played his first minutes last weekend!

by Dawnpatrol on Mar 2, 2009 8:44 PM CST reply actions

Haha ANOTHER flop

Nice job by Smith getting his own shot back to Chaps

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:44 PM CST reply actions

Harrison Smith

He certainly brings the hustle

by 40AS on Mar 2, 2009 8:44 PM CST reply actions

I've learned more about South Carolina b-ball than I ever wanted to know. nt

Chapman

Has some offensive skill, will be interesting to see his development next year

by 40AS on Mar 2, 2009 8:55 PM CST reply actions

This game is far from over....

But, I didn’t realize just how much Baylor has regressed from earlier in the season. These guys look like a completely different team.

by the1austin on Mar 2, 2009 8:55 PM CST reply actions

Who's harder on the eyes? Rolly or Blake Griffin's mom?

My vote is with Momma Griffin, with Rowe coming in a very close 2nd.

by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 8:57 PM CST reply actions

What's wrong with Holly?

I just don’t get it.

She was imbedded at USC for like 3 years and the biggest story...

she was able to uncover was Matt Leinart wears the #11 because he’s dyslexic.

She also tried to bite Mack Brown during a halftime interview at The Rose Bowl.

by 54b on Mar 2, 2009 9:02 PM CST up reply actions

classic espn reporting.....the fact that she's about 6 inches shorter than Erin Andrews

and has her by about 50 lbs probably hurts her status among espn’s male viewing audience….that was a good report on leinart though. I wouldn’t want to take that away from her.

by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 9:04 PM CST up reply actions

Well, she's attractive in my book

Erin is plastic and too thin. Maybe that appeals to lonely dorks. I like real women.

Anyway, she’s a female sports reporter; obviously for eye candy, not great reporting abilities.

I think you might be the first person I know who prefers Holly to Erin Andrews!

by whodat on Mar 2, 2009 9:09 PM CST up reply actions

Clint Chapmans missed dunk = funniest UT moment of the year

Baylor is a terrible terrible team

UT playing out of their minds! Even Mason!

by greenspointexas on Mar 2, 2009 8:58 PM CST reply actions

am i totally unvalidated in saying

that come big 12 tournament time this team becomes much more centered on Balbay’s quickness and ability to penetrate and much less focused on AJ? been seeing it for a while.

by UTrumbo on Mar 2, 2009 8:59 PM CST reply actions

we're shooting 55.6% from the field

Mason and Pittman 8-8 combined from the field.

If only we could play like then when we’re not at home.

Mason is having a great game

by downwithou09 on Mar 2, 2009 9:34 PM CST reply actions

ESPN sucks ass when it comes to camera angles. They leave it on a bad angle for too long

by downwithou09 on Mar 2, 2009 9:35 PM CST reply actions

Daddy AJ

could you talk about your son’s great PG ability?

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:40 PM CST reply actions

nice finish by harrison smith.

he’s giving this team a lot of energy. he’s craig winder.

by billyzane on Mar 2, 2009 9:42 PM CST reply actions

Stellar defensive performance

and this is with Smith getting lots of playing time. He’s earned minutes for the future games.

Baylor averages almost 80 points/game and ranked fairly high in adj. off. efficiency. This is big.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:44 PM CST reply actions

WTF happened to Curtis Jerrells....

One of the best players in the league the past few years…..

by the1austin on Mar 2, 2009 9:45 PM CST reply actions

i almost don't mind being the 5 seed....

I think this team could benefit from a tourney game against Iowa State or Tech. Call me crazy, but if I’m KSU or OSU I want the change to get another win there too…

by the1austin on Mar 2, 2009 9:49 PM CST reply actions

No doubt for OSU, KSU

they NEED that 1st round victory. But for us, beating up Colorado in the 1st round isn’t really going to do much for us. Plus it gives us zero rest for our game against the #4 seed, whoever that might be.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:51 PM CST up reply actions

I don' think rest will be a huge factor,

we need Zohan Dogus to get as much time as possible….

by the1austin on Mar 2, 2009 9:55 PM CST up reply actions

ESPN should do more split screens.

They make the game look great on my 19 inch screen.

by froggiebaby on Mar 2, 2009 9:51 PM CST reply actions

no more bubble...

we’re in. it’s all about seeding in the tourney right now. how good of a seed can we get in the march madness tourney?

by silky51 on Mar 2, 2009 9:53 PM CST reply actions

i think a 6 seed with a win over Kansas

5 if we win 2 conference tourney games as well. But i think 7 if we lose to KU and win one conference game..8 If we lose to KU and first round conference game

by jacobb23 on Mar 2, 2009 9:54 PM CST up reply actions

its sad

here i am with a degree from the University of Texas, broke as hell, watching a choppy internet 3×4 internet feed leeching on someone elses wireless (shhh), and there are empty seats and students who didnt take a free seat for these games.

That is not even funny

Holly Rowe types?!! You mean real women, not fake fantasy types?

Anyway, it was simply a typography sort of joke. Change one letter…

"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."

by bfaut86 on Mar 2, 2009 10:13 PM CST up reply actions

That was a nice post entry pass

it’s not that hard to get the ball to him

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:59 PM CST reply actions

Where the hell has this Mason been?

He literally created that Connor layup on his own.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 10:01 PM CST reply actions

we'll likely be 5 seed in big 12 tourney

that would be a 2pm start time next wednesday. only shot we got at 4 seed is if we upset ku and k st loses once more.

we would own tiebreaker over a&m and okla st

by silky51 on Mar 2, 2009 10:05 PM CST reply actions

Win #20 even when it's a rocky season.

After watching UT basketball in the mid-60s up to Abe, things could be much, much worse.

by whills on Mar 2, 2009 10:16 PM CST reply actions

You are so right.

Sorry for my inappropriate/ignorant remarks this evening. Quite an accomplishment.

"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."

by bfaut86 on Mar 2, 2009 10:18 PM CST up reply actions

It's ok. Since Abe, Penders and now Barnes, it has been much better.

If you weren’t watching it then, it would be hard to gauge how bad that was.

This is heaven compared to then.

I once saw the aggies score 12 points on us in 6 seconds. I know. Just shake your head bad.

by whills on Mar 2, 2009 10:20 PM CST up reply actions

Baylor held 20 points below season average

they have a lot of talented guards, but no one pulled a Clemente on us.

by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 10:30 PM CST reply actions

Congrats to all the seniors.

It’s been a tough season to watch, but I think we’ve found an offensive set that can put some easy points on the board. Let’s all look forward to an exciting Big 12 and NCAA tourney. We could be a sleeper team and slip into the sweet 16.
