Fearless Prediction 2
Harrison starts. How else do you counteract Baylor playing off the guards like OSU did?
You never know what might happen.
Sometimes it’s heaven
sometimes it’s hell
and sometimes you don’t even know.
to paraphrase willie
true dat
harrison wont start, but i hope he puts in some valuable minutes

I just want to see minutes......plural, as in more than 1 minute...
by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 8:02 PM CST up reply actions
I need a few.....Lone Stars or Shiners if I have to look at Rollie Ho all night.
by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 8:06 PM CST up reply actions
Just for your hump, Craig Way is noting Harrison might get some good minutes tonight.
Primarily due to his play versus OSU and a favorable match-up for him with Baylor.
I didn't even realize this was Abrams final home game
go out with a bang.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:03 PM CST reply actions
I'm gonna eat now for that very reason.
Although traditionally, we seem to do better versus Baylor here than there.
Craig said ref said to flopper, "Get up."
And seemed to tell Baylor coach same thing when he complained.
6-0 at under-16
Great start on defense. Still not shooting well, but doing a good job of getting out and pushing in transition
--PB--
I think there are going to be a few suprised people around here when Balbay starts next year because he can run with the horses we've recruited.
-rBr-
balbay plays with more heart than anyone ive seen in a while here
if we can settle him down and teach the kid how to shoot, he’ll be a lot more than a steal.
WHY ISN'T HARISON SMITH STARTING
RIC BARNS SUCKS

15-7 TX at under-12
Baylor lost on offense. Texas doing a pretty good job running sets to get looks near the rim.
--PB--
BU gambling on Jarrells, who has two fouls.
Texas should attack him directly.
Haha Dexy is scoring at ease
all we have to do is get him the damn ball.

ROFL
Baylor shows how not to run the fast break, leading to a fb on our own
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:31 PM CST reply actions
Thanks PB
Enjoyed the show he put on when I made it to a few games in person last year.
by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 8:41 PM CST up reply actions
Nice take by Balbay...
But Chappy got pinned…. Does someone get the sense that Coach told Chappy to attack the basket?
Balbay
I saw Balbay jump in front of a speeding train and rescue a baby this weekend. And how the F do they know anything about Harrison Smith? He played his first minutes last weekend!
Haha ANOTHER flop
Nice job by Smith getting his own shot back to Chaps
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 8:44 PM CST reply actions
I don't mind that
considering how many guards we have that are the total opposite

Holly Rowe, tell us more.

This game is far from over....
But, I didn’t realize just how much Baylor has regressed from earlier in the season. These guys look like a completely different team.
Who's harder on the eyes? Rolly or Blake Griffin's mom?
My vote is with Momma Griffin, with Rowe coming in a very close 2nd.
She was imbedded at USC for like 3 years and the biggest story...
she was able to uncover was Matt Leinart wears the #11 because he’s dyslexic.
She also tried to bite Mack Brown during a halftime interview at The Rose Bowl.

classic espn reporting.....the fact that she's about 6 inches shorter than Erin Andrews
and has her by about 50 lbs probably hurts her status among espn’s male viewing audience….that was a good report on leinart though. I wouldn’t want to take that away from her.
by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 9:04 PM CST up reply actions
Well, she's attractive in my book
Erin is plastic and too thin. Maybe that appeals to lonely dorks. I like real women.
Anyway, she’s a female sports reporter; obviously for eye candy, not great reporting abilities.

DUDE! Tell me you're joking and if you're not, I won't say anything else about her...

Clint Chapmans missed dunk = funniest UT moment of the year
Baylor is a terrible terrible team
UT playing out of their minds! Even Mason!
am i totally unvalidated in saying
that come big 12 tournament time this team becomes much more centered on Balbay’s quickness and ability to penetrate and much less focused on AJ? been seeing it for a while.
we're shooting 55.6% from the field
Mason and Pittman 8-8 combined from the field.
If only we could play like then when we’re not at home.

Connor Atchley having family problems?
What are they? I haven’t heard of them all year.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:15 PM CST reply actions
I dont' know, but I'm sure Connor appreciates it being discussed on national tv though.
by SneezyBeltran on Mar 2, 2009 9:16 PM CST up reply actions
Maybe his tonsils is considered a family member
or maybe it’s the kidnapping of his brother. I think his name was Jump Shot

Haha lucky break
referee got hurt along with Mason possibly

Swarm of Google hits to the site for

his name was Draft Stock.

Like being in a bar with friends. The OSU mess was harsh.

That call is made all the time
Fran is right. He has to put his hands straight up.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:29 PM CST up reply actions
Call a timeout Rick
give up 2 straight dunks
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:29 PM CST reply actions
Why does it always seem like Atchley trys to block a dunk from behind...
But he never gets there, and gets a foul half the time
Blazz
Baylor in a zone, meaning Smith is in
but he just missed a three
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:32 PM CST reply actions
Absolutely TERRIBLE camera angle
STOP THAT SHIT ESPN

Nice pass to Chaps
good catch and finish
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions
Great pass Mason
Smith scores in transition
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:36 PM CST reply actions
As long as we win today
we could lose out and we’re still in (but with an awful seed)

Daddy AJ
could you talk about your son’s great PG ability?
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:40 PM CST reply actions
Andy, tell us why you insisted AJ do the NBA crap when DJ was announcing he was going to the NBA
-rBr-
Stellar defensive performance
and this is with Smith getting lots of playing time. He’s earned minutes for the future games.
Baylor averages almost 80 points/game and ranked fairly high in adj. off. efficiency. This is big.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:44 PM CST reply actions
nvmd. Baylor isn't in top 50 RPI, that was last season
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:45 PM CST reply actions
Barnes has been bitching at him a lot recently
and since he’s kinda redundant to Mason/Balbay, he let Smith take all his PT
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:48 PM CST up reply actions
Dexy is just unstoppable when he gets it that deep
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:48 PM CST reply actions
Dex's learning curve is sure moving upward fast.
And that’s great for next year. And maybe even the end of this one.
i almost don't mind being the 5 seed....
I think this team could benefit from a tourney game against Iowa State or Tech. Call me crazy, but if I’m KSU or OSU I want the change to get another win there too…
No doubt for OSU, KSU
they NEED that 1st round victory. But for us, beating up Colorado in the 1st round isn’t really going to do much for us. Plus it gives us zero rest for our game against the #4 seed, whoever that might be.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 9:51 PM CST up reply actions
ESPN should do more split screens.
They make the game look great on my 19 inch screen.
no more bubble...
we’re in. it’s all about seeding in the tourney right now. how good of a seed can we get in the march madness tourney?
i think a 6 seed with a win over Kansas
5 if we win 2 conference tourney games as well. But i think 7 if we lose to KU and win one conference game..8 If we lose to KU and first round conference game
LOL @ circling his biceps
Wayne Brady is a beast!

When I was mad during the OK Lite game
I named him Bogus Ballboy….
"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."
its sad
here i am with a degree from the University of Texas, broke as hell, watching a choppy internet 3×4 internet feed leeching on someone elses wireless (shhh), and there are empty seats and students who didnt take a free seat for these games.
Actually
he is a really good boy. And sorry for the Baptist knock. I should think before I post.
"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."
I thought you were asking me if you were a Bapist

Holly Rowe types?!! You mean real women, not fake fantasy types?
Anyway, it was simply a typography sort of joke. Change one letter…
"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."
That was a nice post entry pass
it’s not that hard to get the ball to him

Where the hell has this Mason been?
He literally created that Connor layup on his own.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 10:01 PM CST reply actions
k state will likely get a rematch against texas in quarterfinals though..
I think they make a run in the tourney, and they could get in…..even with a loss at okla st tommorrow night
RPI, SOS isn't that important
our record vs top50 RPI means a lot
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 10:05 PM CST up reply actions
we'll likely be 5 seed in big 12 tourney
that would be a 2pm start time next wednesday. only shot we got at 4 seed is if we upset ku and k st loses once more.
we would own tiebreaker over a&m and okla st
This team has no legitimate scrubs anymore now that Harrison is playing
no J.D. Lewis or Ian Mooney.
Who do you play during mop-up time?
I'm drinkin' this cold Lone Star to you AJ...Hook em!
Great day to be a Longhorn and represent our state so well on Texas Independence Day.
Hang on to Holly.....plenty of handles on her to grab.

Win #20 even when it's a rocky season.
After watching UT basketball in the mid-60s up to Abe, things could be much, much worse.
You are so right.
Sorry for my inappropriate/ignorant remarks this evening. Quite an accomplishment.
"Hey, a White guy! They're funny."
It's ok. Since Abe, Penders and now Barnes, it has been much better.
If you weren’t watching it then, it would be hard to gauge how bad that was.
This is heaven compared to then.
I once saw the aggies score 12 points on us in 6 seconds. I know. Just shake your head bad.
Great game by Mason... good playing time for Smith
hope Smith can keep the fouls to a minimum.. even when hes not hitting shots, just the potential of him actually being able to shoot causes him to be a decoy and frees up the floor for the offense
Good to see AJ and Connor go out with a W
Hook em!

Baylor held 20 points below season average
they have a lot of talented guards, but no one pulled a Clemente on us.
by goingforthecorner on Mar 2, 2009 10:30 PM CST reply actions
Congrats to all the seniors.
It’s been a tough season to watch, but I think we’ve found an offensive set that can put some easy points on the board. Let’s all look forward to an exciting Big 12 and NCAA tourney. We could be a sleeper team and slip into the sweet 16.
