Avery Bradley Wins All-American Dunk Contest
Avery Bradley threw down some pretty sick dunks and won it handily. He beat out Derrick Favors and Mason Plumlee. I could not be more excited for his arrival on campus. He plays D, can score at will, and now officially a dunk champion. Hook 'em Horns!

Probably a one-and-done kid.
I’m excited for him, Hamilton and Williams to step on the court!

I think Bradley has hinted at staying a couple years.
Either him or Hamilton have. Always get those two confused.
Side note: Anyone know when the McDonald’s AA game is?

They all say they want to stay until...
there’s a few million dollars waiting for them in a couple of months in the NBA draft. If I were in college and someone offered me a few million dollars to leave (or start a career with that much money) I’d take it without hesitation. It’s not because I am money hungry (I am a little) but it’s also the security that money brings and the chance to secure it right then and there.
Trust me, I want him to stay all four years if he wants!! But he’s too talented and will be go to the NBA. But let’s enjoy him!

And thats the major difference about NBA and NFL
In college football, it is VERY important (in most circumstances) to stay the full 4 years (at least 3 years to start) to get the full understanding of the position you will be playing for income. The talent level from college to pros is vastly larger than it is for college basketball to the NBA
Hell alot of kids come straight out of HS and can play in the NBA. Durant, LEbron, Garnett
Think how Colt would have done if he would have gone straight from Jim Ned to the NFL. He wouldnt even be though of as a free agent. Money or not, you have to have the skills that college gives you. Basketball is just totally different.

NFL there is a need for development for a few reasons
1. Players need to bulk up. Have to be able to push people around
2. Plays are a lot more complex, sure basketball has plays and defense. But you have been taught those most your life, in the NBA all you need is to be able to run and jump and shoot.

Shooter
Someone who can shoot would be nice

It will be interesting to see how well Bradley shoots from distance
The word on him is that he shoots it enough to keep defenders honest. Hamilton and Williams can both shoot, as well as Jai Lucas. The 09-10 team will have some shooters, don’t worry.

BALBAY
Will Bradley put Balbay on the bench next year? I hope so. I think Balbay will be a good back-up.
