The once in a blue moon opportunity
Could just as well be a national championship as it is going pro. Either way, I wish him the best of luck. Nobodty works harder than sexy, he’s earned it.
His stock really has no where to go but up.
Dex played 16.6 minutes per game this year, and though he finished strong with a lot of minutes, thats just a poor number to go pro on, I cant imagine his potential alone will carry him that far up the draft board.
Kevin Love averaged 29.6 minutes
Greg Oden averaged about 29 minutes
Big Freaking Baby went for 35 a game.
I cant see any pro-opportunity as a once in a blue moon. At the end of next year he should be better off than he is right now.

Why wouldn't he declare?
It’s a free pass through the draft process. Assuming he goes lights-out and gets a first round guarantee, it’s all gravy for him. At worst, he gets the experience to better prepare himself for next year. Unless he does something stupid like take money from an agent, where’s the downside for him?
It would be a huge mistake if he left.
I love Dex, but with his current stamina issues, it’s safe to say we will see him in the NBA D-League for the foreseeable future. He needs to be able to show scouts that he can play longer than 16 minutes a game for 30 games. The NBA season is 82 games long. He has to continue his conditioning program and drop more weight.
It’s a tough choice, and we don’t know who’s advising him, but he can only improve his NBA chances if he comes back. If he leaves now, I have a feeling he will end up like PJ Tucker.
PJ Tucker got screwed... I know he shouldnt have left early, but the NBA still gave him the cold shoulder after 2 years
now he was the MVP last year of the Israeli Basketball League…not joking… seriously

Maybe him and Damion
are coming back for a serious run at the National Championship? Let’s face it, with the class we have coming in and Pittman and James to lead, we have a top 5 team.

Id wait to see what kind of improvement we have at the point
Either with Balbay getting more consistent/less timid (a spot up J wouldnt hurt either), or see how well Jai can run point before Id call us a top 5, even with that talent.
I’m optimistic, but PG play has to be there.
